i would compare " a little water clears us of this deed" to "out damned spot". I was going to link the water to holy water and the religious connotations it hold and " damned" to damnation. How she puts up a fascade that the immorality does not affect her.... But later we can see that her regicide has transformed her in guilt and she fears the eternal damnation she knows she will recieve. The juxtaposition between the religious water and damnation highlights the change in her character and the guilt she is plagued by a result of her transgressiosn against God and her use of the supernatural. This is further conveyed in the juxtaposition between "clears" and spot". Clear has connotations of cleanlieness and when paired with this religious water emphasises the purity that lady macbeth and her feminity once held before her part in regicide. However, "spot" suggests an imperfection or corrpution as Shakesperare intends to convey the feeling that Lady Macbeth's soul has been tainted by going against the divine right of kings, leading to her madness and guilt.
