Are you already able to make connections between the letters of a word, and above all to reread yourself?

You can see for most letters there is a 'tail' leading you to join on to the next letter. If not, you can make one or just not have them connected, I think, if you are learning this for everyday purposes and not as calligraphy. I don't quite understand what you mean about 'reread'.

@Влад Сидоренко I guess you don't know that each language is phonetically different therefore the alphabets have different set of letters, even though the core ones are indeed the same.

If you wanna learn Ukrainian, focus on print alphabet. Try to write in it later😊

I thought so too but the teacher asked that we try. I'm a little afraid of wasting a lot of energy because I already have very bad writing in my language. I can write in block letters, some characters are transformed but it is still understandable@@dmytrovashchenko

It’s the Cyrillic alphabet, not the Latin one.

Also э ы ё ъ are Russian. The corresponding Ukrainian letters are ґ є і ї.

This is a freaking Ukrainian alphabet. Yes, cyrillic alphabet was created in Bulgaria, but many different countries use the same cyrillic alphabet, but with slight differences. As for Ukrainian, it has extra letters, such as ї, є, ґ, і, which neither Bulgarian, nor Russian have. Shut up.

Do you guys who say that the ukrainian alphabet is not ukrainian know their terminology? The cyrillic SCRIPT and ALPHABET, if you truly mean the alphabet with all the letters that were used during Old Church Slavonic, isn't ukrainian & that's without questions. On the other hand, the ukrainian ALPHABET is indeed ukrainian. You can say similar about latin script: "this is latin alphabet... not sure why are you labeling it as english alphabet".

@@extreme_vegoon Can you show any historical document that it is Ukrainian? Until you find it, you can read this. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulgarian_alphabet You can use the alphabet, but it was not created by or in Ukraine. Russia thinks the same way, but that doesn't mean it's true.

The thing is, this video shows the calligraphy not simply of a cyrillic alphabet, but of a UKRAINIAN alphabet which was based on Bulgarian, cyrillic alphabet, yes, created in Bulgaria :))))) It's a UKRAINIAN alphabet with extra letters that don't exist in Bulgarian alphabet, but it's an alphabet with cyrillic letters of a cyrillic alphabet that originated from Bulgaria. It might not be called cyrillic alphabet but кириллица (kirillitsa; don't know how to write in English and I'm lazy). So it's kirillitsa from Bulgaria and we got our alphabet based on kirillitsa and added our letters to it, thank you.
