From taking the leap to travel full time, to becoming a KZfaqr, living in multiple RV's, and moving to a little island.. here is my story. ❤️
In this video, I share the tales of my journey as a healthcare traveler. These experiences have changed my life forever. I get a bit vulnerable and reveal some juicy details about my life while speaking about the rollercoaster of emotions and hardships that come with living as a nomad.
Creating this video and looking back on the wonderful life I have already lived at such a young age has brought me so much joy. Travel has blessed me with some amazing experiences and SO much growth. It hasn’t been easy, but I truly wouldn’t be who I am today without the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Here’s to 3 years of full time travel! 🫶 Thank you so much for being here.

As an older subscriber who loves your videos, I feel the need to comment… You are amazing! You know yourself and your trials and you are so succinct in the analysis of your feelings. You should be proud of your accomplishments and courage. You have both a gentle spirit and strength of steel. Please be gentle on yourself. You are exactly where you need to be. Your reunion with Roo is coming soon. Safe travels!❤️

I think if Rue could talk, she would be so supportive of this 4 months. She would tell you to go experience, have fun and make memories. When you get back, it will be ok. She is in good hands, you did not abandon her. Big hug.

That is brutal that so many trolls just love to be negative. You and your videos are a delight. I live in Canada but took a job in Dubai for a couple years, I would come home twice a year for 3 weeks. I felt guilty at first leaving my dogs but I reminded myself my pledge to my dogs was to ensure they had the necessities of life and I left them with family. My dogs were always pleased to see me but they didn't pine for me when I was away. Sometimes you need to make decisions based on finances and the future and you left Rue in great care. Take care 🧡😊🐾

Sarah, you have inspired me and educated me. I’m 55 and I am a Surgical Technologist. I have taken the plunge and I am at my first travel assignment. I am figuring it out! I have figured out that I HATE living in other peoples spaces so I started looking at RVs and now I’m in the process of finding the right gas Class A motor home. I want something a little more residential. I’m also traveling with my dog. Watching your videos and seeing you go through your evolutions has given me the courage to go for it and live my best life!

Sarah I’m so happy that you didn’t let the negativity from complete strangers dampen your spirit or deterring you from posting on KZfaq. I get so excited when I get a notification that you’ve posted ❣️You are truly inspiring for so many different reasons 💪 You’ve definitely rekindled and inspired me to follow through with traveling in healthcare. I’ve been quietly watching your journey and I’m always sending you and Rue good vibes🌈✨ 🐾 We have so much in common!! I work in Radiology 🩻 ☢️ 🦴 🤗too. I’m a MRI tech and I live in a 8*20 tiny house 🏡 with my Boston Terrier 🐾 🤍🖤 I plan to healthcare travel in the (near 🤞) future, when the time is right. I bought my tiny house for several reasons but that one is high ⬆️on my list 📝 I don’t comment on KZfaq often, but I wanted you to know that I truly appreciate you sharing your unique journey with everyone 🌎 You’ve keeping my 🔥 lit with wanderlust✨sharing all your beautifully edited videos!! They keep me excited for my future following in your footsteps!!!

As a fellow KZfaqr I can appreciate your comment about hateful comments. I do not get a lot but I figure the YT channel is my happy place and if the comment is ugly I just remove it. Constructive criticism is fair to me but mean does not deserve a place in my life. Love your channel. I found you back in your airstream days. I hope to buy or build a camper van myself in the next couple of years as an adventure van. Lived in Hawaii. I know how different it can be. Follow your heart Sarah!

fantastic!! I did a little travel as an MRI tech and it had it's going points and not so good ones. Save your money, make the life you want. I grew up in Florida and absolutely fell in love with ARIZONA!! I 'traveled' there in 2005 and stayed almost 2 years. Back in Florida now years later and really missed the travel life. The tech world is pretty much pick where you want to go!! Enjoy and have fun.

Thanks for sharing. After a rough period in my life, I got an opportunity to work in Singapore for 3 months a year. It was 3 times as much pay as I was making in the US but it was impossible to bring my two malamutes with me. I had used a wonderful boarding kennel on a farm that took them in and made them part of their family for that time. But I cried everytime I passed a dog on street. It was hot and humid and expensive and although I did my best to take advantage of seeing Asia when I could travel, it was tough. But I made enough to pay a downpayment for a cabin in the Adirondacks, got the job of my dreams there and my dogs were happy and loved on the farm. As tough as it was, it got me to where I wanted to go. You'll find your place...with Roo.

Sarah delete the naysayers..... Being from the Healthcare industry, working lots of overtime and call, having furrbabies most of my life all I can say is "do what makes you happy". We love seeing whatever you produce on You tube. There have been lots of ups and downs in my life too but as time goes by very quickly.....I'm now retired..... "do what makes you happy". I am praying for you to have a rewarding 2024!!!! Hugs from Minnesota

Really thank you for sharing your story. Alot of times you watch these videos because you enjoy their content, traveling and amazing adventures, but at the same time you become somewhat resentful and jealous because you aren't able to or unwilling to take that step and take that plunge yourself. Sarah for you to allow yourself to be vulnerable and open and share your struggles and hardships with this lifestyle speaks volumes about yourself, it's not all rainbow's and lollipops and at times there is a real cost to this be it failed relationships, instability or what have you but to press on because what you have gained in life experiences far out ways the negatives. Thxs Sarah , take care and you do you.

I am amazed at your outlook on life and positivity. I grew up in the 60’s and never thought about goals. Women were teachers or nurses and those didn’t appeal to me at all. I’m in NY too! Long Island! I stumbled upon your video last night feeling so blah lately cause I want a different life. Then I watched your video last night and I was inspired! I am retiring in two years and not sure if I should get a tiny home, buy a large piece of land and get a farm or buy a van and remodel it and live in my van to travel. The positive thing about living in a van is that there is no mortgage, no electric bills etc. I’m wondering if I would be able to save more money living in a van? Now I’m watching this video you posted and thank you for sharing your experience with us. Really enlightening and inspiring. You are blessed to have family anytime you need that comfort and support. Keep sharing your story. I’m still deciding and actually I started shopping online for a Ford Transit 350 van. I might consider doing this. You are slowly convincing me! Thank you again!

We do fully own our house and we have a Class A diesel pusher that we enjoy traveling in. As for New York, my mother was born at the foot of the Adirondack mountains. I hope you are enjoying Hawaii. My best memories were my travels in my teens and early 20’s. I traveled a lot overseas. Now in my 50’s I still have plans but realistically you cannot do all the things you could when you are much younger. Enjoy this time and experience life and challenges to figure out what you want. It’s the best way. Without doing it you would be what ifs I had done this. By doing it you know exactly if it was for you or not. And honestly getting $$$ now at your age is the best thing to save for the future. I love the idea of renting a small place and keeping the van. You will fine tune what works for you.

Just watched your video telling your left story. Thanks so much for sharing. I'm so proud of you. I have watched many of your videos and love them. You are living YOUR BEST LIFE! Good for you. I had similar experiences. I am also a health care traveller. My 3rd assignment was out in CA and I ended up staying there for many years. I also worked in Gilroy (love that place) and San Francisco. Made me smile to see all the places you visited there - I also visited many of the same places. I travelled alone (after divorcing in NM) I know it's very hard in the beginning - traveling alone - but like you said - after you try many different things - you realize how capable you are . I also bought a trailer after watching "tons" of videos - of young women traveling with trailer. So I decided to do the same and I am much older. I figured if you young ladies can do it - so CAN I. I have travelled to Santa Cruz for assignment , then back home to NM (cheaper to live- but love CA best) then out to SC. all with my trailer - went very well and I had the time of my life. After my assignment - I went down to Florida and then slowly back to NM> It was all so much fun - people are great and helpful at the campgrounds. So sad that you got "any" negative comments. I think people were just jealous of what you're doing and because THEY can't do it - they don't figure YOU should. But don't you believe that. You are a strong woman and can do anything you put your mind to!!. I also have a dog (Heidi- border collie/ Auzzie mix) we have similar adventures and I am still planning many more even though I am now retired from my full time job . I still take assignments in areas that I want to see again - and get paid to do it!! I hope that someday I will see you on the road. This summer I am taking my granddaughter (she is 14) on a travel adventure - up to Victoria BC. Want to show her what "us - strong women " can accomplish when we put our mind to it. You go GIRL and keep living your dreams!! I also did assignment in HI - My boyfriend at time said -if I went - would be end of our relationship !. I went anyway and had a time of my life. Never regretted it. Wonderful place to work for 4 months. God bless you and keep you safe . Happy travels Sarah!!!

3 years! Congratulations! I did not know you had an Airstream! COOL! Yes, the internet can be a very mean place. We can't wait to get to Washington. We will be heading that way in the Spring of 2025. Did you pick up your van in Michigan? We are from Michigan! 😍 It is so hard leaving best friends. So sorry that you couldn't bring your dog. Beautiful footage at the end. I'm going to go watch your Washington State video next. Safe travels when you get back to your van. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! - Michelle

Good to see this update and know you're doing well! I feel pretty certain that as you move along in life, you'll not have one regret about these early decisions and adventures in young adulthood! You've seen and done some pretty amazing things, young lady! Will be anxious to see Rue after you two have reunited! My dogs have always been family to me, so I understand her importance in your life! Best of luck as you transition back to the mainland!

I am so glad you continued because I never would have found you and Roo. You are such an inspiration to us young and old to be brave and live life to the fullest. My husband and I talk about getting a van and yours is one of the ones I would model after because it is beautiful. Never let anybody tell you you can’t do anything.block the people that have nothing good to say and go about your day. Good luck to you keep posting. She is going to give you so much love when she sees you.

Thanks Sarah for your story. I’ve been subscribed for less than a year, and this helps to understand how you arrived where you are, and being a travel nurse. Sounds like your ideal life would be a home base, a job that allows you to take extended trips, and plenty of journeys in your van with Rue. I had 2 Labrador retrievers for a long run separated by a few years, and miss them dearly. Enjoy your time with Rue! I look forward to your further adventures and your reunion with Rue! Thank you!

Hi Sarah! I have enjoyed watching your story & beautiful journeys the past 2-3 yrs so much. You are an inspiration a joy to watch. It's too bad that there are jerks out there who feel they can say whatever stupid negative comes to them while they get to hide their real identity & faces on your podcast. Don't waste a second of your precious time giving them any attention! They Suck! And you're Awesome. Thank you for sharing your journeys. Trisha from Boston ❤
