Ah, tubeless tires. I can’t even imagine having to take off my tire and replace a tube right now and thankful I don’t have to. Thanks to this type of tire that not only kickstarted a sub-industry but has changed cycling forever. Let’s get into it.

Cartridges can be nice until the adapter fails and you have to call for a ride home. Happened to me. I prefer to have a tiny pump instead.

I live in Cambridge, know a lot of cyclists. Yet very few who choose tube less. I don't bother with the mess and extra bits required when tubes work fine, road, gravel hills and some mountains... Maybe they are better, but nobody has convinced me yet

Definitely depends on riding style and location. For our team, it is a no brained based on our trail systems and riding style. However, this video is more about how much these two inventions have changed the industry.

I tried a few and Cafelatex Effecto Mariposa worked the best for me, both road and gravel bikes. Joes also works well.

You nailed it - "an entire sub industry has been built around it". I went through similar with enduro and mx with mousse tubes, sure arguably better performance but for hacks like myself where cost and time is a factor, a well set up tube system and reasonable pressures win every time. Just my experiences.

Definitely depends on the type of riding and terrain you focus on. This video isn’t necessarily saying tubes are bad, but highlighting the entire sun-industry that was created from tubeless tires and their accompanying accessories (as you pointed out).
