Most Bounty Hunters refused to go after Jedi, seeing them as way too dangerous and not worth the risk. But not Cad Bane. Cad Bane would specifically take bounties where Jedi were either the targets or were very likely to get involved in his work, giving Cad Bane an infamous reputation for defeating even the most talented Jedi masters such as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Cad Bane learned much of his bounty hunting expertise from the father of Boba himself, Jango Fett. As well as learning combat skills from Jango he was also heavily inspired by Jango's Mandalorian equipment that was often specifically designed to defend against and kill Jedi. He, therefore, implemented jet boots, knockout gas, a flamethrower as well as a whole host of other equipment to counter abilities of the Sith and Jedi. His jet boots mimicked force jump while weaponry like his flamethrower was designed to limit the effewctivness of the lightsaber. Even his breathing tubes were specifically designed to stop force sensitives from force choking him. As we discussed in more detail in this video, Bane was even armed with an extremely expensive cortosis bullet which could short out a lightsaber bladein one hit, making him one of the most well equipped bounty hunters in the entire galaxy.
