Congratulations🎉 interestingly, we didn't go through thjs level of scrutiny to get our mortgage approved and we are both immigrants. For solicitors it's easier if the property agent have worked with the solicitors in the past.

Hi 👋🏾 Yes so mortgage lenders would usually give you x4 or x4.5 of your salary as a mortgage loan. So 55,000 x 4 = £220,000 which means you’ll need to have £30,000 as deposit but some can give you 55,000 x 4.5 = 247,500 in this case a 10% deposit would suffice. So yes it’s possible.
