About Slant 3D
🏭 High-Volume 3D Printing: Scalability Meets Flexibility
Slant 3D's Large-Scale 3D Print Farms utilize 1000's of FDM 3D printers working 24/7 to offer limitless scalability and unparalleled flexibility. Whether it's 100 or 100,000 parts, our system can handle it reliably, while still allowing for real-time design updates, ensuring products evolve with the times. This adaptability is key in today's fast-paced world.
🌿 Sustainable Manufacturing: Eco-Friendly Efficiency
Embrace a system that drastically reduces carbon emissions by eliminating carbon-intensive steps in the supply chain, such as global shipping and warehousing. Our approach minimizes this footprint, offering a more sustainable manufacturing option.
⚙️ Digital Warehouses: Parts On-Demand
Think of print farms as a "Digital Warehouse", meaning we can store your parts digitally on a server rather than physically on a shelf. parts are available on-demand, reducing the need for extensive physical inventory.

Would you guys ever consider sharing more about your 3D printers? Would be interesting to know what speeds/general print settings you employ in a mass production setting compared to what the average consumer uses they also seem like a very minimal core xy printer and seeing how the current trend of printer designs shifting from cartesian to core xy makes these even more curious!

10:28 I understand if it's a trade secret and you don't want to give away the "secret sauce" but if not, it would be very fascinating to have a "tour" of one of the factory floor printers and how it compares to a typical hobbyist printer (what parts does it use, could we build one? ect).

I'm guessing they don't want to give out that much info... spent years of their lives getting to where they're at. But yes I agree an in depth peak at some of the 14 iterations video would be cool

The fact that clients disappeared is brutal... but realistically these products could never even exist or would have burned a much larger investment using molding technology.

Dang, that sounds awesome. If y'all ever open on the east coast and are hiring, I'm definitely applying. I work in manufacturing and I 3d print as a hobby. Combining those 2 things would be a dream. (I don't 3d print as a side hustle, bc as you've said in previous videos, it's completely different to print on scale vs in my living room.)

100k threshold? That makes me feel good. My fist poduct I designed I sold about 6 million units my second big product was a thermoformed sport card box which I sold well over 3 million units. Now I am seriously looking at a 3D Print product hopefully I will do the same type of numbers. Great info, Thanks.

I can modify, compile, and deploy marlin and I've began my journey into converting my Ender 5 Plus to klipper and will be finishing that project shortly.

You're not allowed to ask questions like this because it's a distraction. I just asked a question if they ever use metal 3D printing filament, and their reply back was distraction and that was it. How are people like us ever supposed to learn if companies are getting offended by valuable learning questions?

@Joshplv

@@Gandalfthewhite115 I think what they ment with their reply to your comment was since they allready have goals and plans set up for their business, something like going for 3D printing metal parts would be considered a distraction since the technology is still in its infancy and probably would require big changes for them to take that on. They did give kind of a bunt answer to your comment though will say.
@Gandalfthewhite115
@Gandalfthewhite115 Жыл бұрын
@@Joshplv they should explain themselves. Instead of leaving one-word replies and it's not a distraction to learn something new. Knowledge is power. There's a few other channels that experiment with metal filament for rocket parts. It was just a rude reply back a person that values teaching others would have left more than a one-word reply. We were all taught in high school how to properly have a conversation with other individuals. They should be explained themselves not a person like you or another person commenting on here for them. If they can't explain what they meant that's just bad business and rude.b
@Gandalfthewhite115
@Gandalfthewhite115 Жыл бұрын
@@MrBoss1 no s*** it's good to ask questions. Asking questions gains a person knowledge. I literally asked a question on here and they couldn't even reply back besides a one word response and then when I asked what they meant by that, they couldn't explain. It's rude and bad business when somebody asks a question because they're trying to gain knowledge from the best in that business and then the person of that business can't even replied back with an actual answer besides a one word response. Asking questions is how people learn. So what are you on. 🤣
