In today's video we're walking you through how we do the final color grading on all of our in-studio shots to get that cool blue, dark and moody look using the Lumetri Color Panel in Adobe Premiere Pro. I'm talking through shadow tinting, hue saturation curves, HSL secondary and skin tone masking, Lumetri scopes, and the RGB parade.

I actually never watched a video of color grading/correction and actually put it to practice until today because I didn't have an Adobe subscription. It is so much fun to do it along with the video. I wish I had the guts to change career paths to an editing gig but one step at a time ay? Thank you so much for making this amazing content. Honestly the way you masked the skintones is a game changer. I always used the mask tool and it took forever lol. I guess i'll be saving 30 minutes + on every edit now. Thanks Becki!

I love the color grading style of your videos, so when I seen this tutorial I definitely couldn’t resist watching. 👉🏻 Chris, I had a trackball for 10 yrs and loved it, but then I switched to a MacBook Pro with a trackpad and never going back lol. *Keep up the good work you guys!*

Color grading is so different than photo editing. I feel I’m a whiz with photos but learning color grading has been a long process. These videos are always very helpful. It would be interesting to see you do it in real-time.

That laptop is so awesome. I think I’d miss the trackpad and zooming in and out with it in Premiere. Last PC I had from Microsoft one of their surface devices I couldn’t get this to work in Premiere and it drove me nuts. Or maybe it works and it was just that device. So happy to see you two getting even more traction on KZfaq, you deserve the BEST! 🎉

When I started this video, I thought that the mouse choice was Becki's as Chris is all fancy with Razer, I was hoping he would be using a Logitech Gpro lightspeed or Razer Bassilask Ultimate or at least the MX Master (mouse recommendations 😉), but boy was I wrong! Great video yet again! Love the explanations. I really like how you have the windows set up in Premier as well, going to have to move some of my stuff around and check that out. A mouse I absolutely love (and it works on Mac and PC) is the Logitech MX3!! Love it and the horizontal scroll wheel changed my life!

I'm a Mac and FCPX guy, but this is the beauty of Premiere. When fit hits the shan with your Mac, you can edit on any computer available. Great tutorial!

I too have a 2013 Macbook that I only keep around for file transfers on shoots and or if someone has a Mac only Drive that I need files from. It started to show signs of what I like to call "The Glitched out Rainbow" all over the screen, but I noticed formatting it every 2-3 months keeps it running smooth enough allow me to use it for the aforementioned file transfers.

Logitech MX Master 2s - Works on both Mac and Windows, has 3 programmable options to switch between 3 devices (Windows PC, Mac, and Phone/Tablet). I love mine! If you decide to move to a Windows Desktop, the Logitech Craft keyboard is pretty sweet too! Pairs well with the MX Master.
