How to do Farming at the Coldest inhabited place in the world -71C/-95.8F - Yakutia, Siberia
My parents' farm in Yakutia - the coldest inhabited place in the world. The coldest ever registered temperature in my region is -71C/-95.8 F. This video is about how they feed, water and take care of their animals.
This is only a winter part of daily routine of farmers. In summer it's a bit different.
Being a farmer is not easy at any part of this world and Yakutia is not an exception.

My dog (Irish greyhound) at 5 degrees celcius: *Trembling* acting like he's freezing to death when we stop walking for a minute. I mean thats not a fair comparision. Tolerance for both cold and heat is learned. If your used to a cold place you will struggle in really warm places. Dogs used to the temperatures of your home, will find it cold once they have to go outside and it's 5 degrees outside. Unlike people they can take off and put on their coat for walkies. So it's not fair to compare your dog's reaction (an animal used to living inside a warm human home) to that of those cows (used to living in -32 degrees). People and animals adapt and can train cold and heat tolerance. But just because some human in the world can handle minus 32 without problems doesn't mean some noob with no experience and tolerance would be able to handle it. Temperature tolerance takes time. Those cows would probably struggle if you flew them over to australia, at least at first.

Where I live in the summer it can be 40C. but summers are short, perhaps 3 and half months at most. During the winters, temperatures is lower than -45C sometimes even lower than -50C and lowest I have experienced is -57C. So I think perfect temperatures are from 15C to -20C. LOL 🇨🇦

The differences in lives lived upon the surface of this planet is truly amazing. Saying “It’s sunny, it’s warm” at -35 degrees is a next level of insane to me 😅

Our winters in Canada are around 7 to 8 months. January and February are usually our coldest months and can get very near the same temperatures as you do. so we also have a very short time to grow and harvest. Love your videos and thank you for sharing your life with the rest of us.

i love how you're trying your best to present us your culture, it's super interesting. it's important to maintain the traditions because old fashioned ways never fail, while modern technology is fragile

Plenty of old fashioned ways fail. For example, leeches used for bloodletting aren’t really a thing anymore lol.
