In this 2nd episode of our series showing little Cashys skate progression, we look at her from age 2-3 where her balance and confidence clearly advance rapidly.
What I notice the most looking back at these videos are 2 things.
1. She really loves to go fast. You can see when she’s on her bum or when I’m holding her hand running back and forth. She’s in the zone when she’s going fast. Maybe that’s because since she was little I have always told her for most sports that “it’s a lot easier the faster you go”
2. She’s one real tough little cookie. She has a little fall when we’re on the back concrete pad and she doesn’t cry, yet she walks it off and immediately says she’s ok and wants to get back on. That moment could have ended our session and she didn’t let it. Her strength and resilience is something that as her dad I admire about her. I wish I was that way when I was that little.
