Here is our story of how we met in Thailand in 2012 way before we became digital nomads. We were both on our own solo journeys before meeting in Pai (Spicy Pai) after a series of coincidences lead us both there.

I got goosebumps listening to your story! It was so much more of a epic coincidence than I thought it would be! I friggin loved it! Alex everything happens for a reason as I’m sure you know; life works in amazing ways!! 5 years (or more not sure) later y’all have made beautiful memories, traveled to breathtaking parks and monuments!! Most excitingly y’all recently found out Emma is pregnant & y’all are having a baby!! So excited to meet little baby travel bean and watch y’all’s journey after baby is here 🤗👶🏼 can’t think of two more deserving people to become new parents, such sweet genuine souls! Plus you two are truly such an inspiration and a HUGE motivator to follow my dreams, be happy, and to step outside my comfort zone! Love love love this channel and it’s relatability. I can sit here for hours watching videos on this channel and not realize it’s been hours 😂🤦🏽‍♀️ feels like an 1 or so to me 🤷🏽‍♀️ so funny, real, and humble. Very very very happy I stumbled across Travel Beans somehow! Been telling all my friends and family to subscribe as we all like to tent camp, travel and try new foods/go to food festivals close to us in the States! What a lovely story, I am a big believer in fate but I wish I had done what you did and tossed a coin as I had a bad feeling about a motorbike trip and sure enough I had an accident not my fault and I am still in and out of hospital 6 operations later 20 months on. Hi and such a wonderful road of events! We have bean catching up with your travels in the Philippines. We gave up our tv Licence and just travel round the world every night! We did 3 months in China last year and totally enjoyed. Lily makes a lovely tour guide! We are a modern Internet couple with a Daughter 11 !! I flew out to China almost 14 years ago and it was also instant! You do get that feeling and you have to go with it!! Katie loves our meeting stories and does not get sad when I describe my first Philippine Wife!!! Still got the TEE SHIRT he jokes!!! Lots of love. David Lily and Katie.

I know you posted this five years ago, but… I think I was meant to watch this today. This will be the fourth Valentine’s Day since I lost my husband to cancer, and I miss him terribly, as you might imagine. We, too, had one of “ those” meetings, involving a summer algebra class, my tendency to transpose digits and showing up in the right class but the absolutely WRONG section, and the algebra teacher from hell. I think the only reason my husband and I stayed in that class for two weeks was so we had an excuse to keep meeting up! Anyway, instead of feeling sad, I’m laughing and remembering our first date, where he impressed me by forgetting to bring any money followed by me impressing HIM by locking my keys in the car!
