I feel like if all parents, regardless whether or not their child has autism, worked more to help their child redirect or understand what they need then life might be a bit better

Hello Wee family, watching Braylee and your life together reminds me so much of life when Rhys was young. I've always said my daughter was my little stunt devil. No fear n always active n not afraid to try things. For her climbing on n jumping on n off of the furniture I got her a little jungle gym for the yard n she's always had a trampoline n between her teacher,speech,OT n behavioral therapist we all came up saying "feet on floor" or "feet on the floor" n it did start working. It wouldn't keep her from initiating it but as soon as I said it she'd at least listen n get right down. She stopped for awhile then started again but now I just tell her sit down or no jumping on couch n she'll listen for a little while but if she's full of energy n very excited/hyper she'll listen but go back to doing it if I leave the room or a few minutes later.

My daughter has not let us put her hair up in over a year. She does love to wear headbands n Disney princess crowns so it stays out of her face for the most part but it gets in the way when doing certain things. My daughter would love that bow, though. She's always had a thing for bows (Minnie mouse). In the past couple months she did randomly out of the blue ask for a hair tie n let me put her hair in a low,loose ponytail for a short period of time though. I'm hoping that's a step towards letting us pull it up sometimes. The balance beam is awesome. I can see her doing gymnastics. I always said I was gonna put my daughter in singing/dancing classes n gymnastics because she was always n still does tumbling,jumping doing flips,climbing, balancing, singing n dancing but then as she got older I figured she probably wouldn't take directions from a teacher/coach n would just do it when n how she wanted. I think she could now though.

Your daughter brightens up my day and I love her and your parenting I am an adult with special needs Mainly lering but with some physical when I was younger I had therapys for speech and ot. My parents when I was little was just like you tow keep up the great work ;). Love #LindsayTaylor

Absolutely respond to her verbal words it's like talking to a wall how long are you going to do that cuz you don't get a response. You guys are really good parents I can see you work as a team and really attend to her. When she was bouncing on the yellow thing she was saying video. If you don't congratulate her for her speaking while she's speaking and respond to her why should she do it? Maybe if you miss some words cuz you're talking you could go back over her videos and say good girl you said video.

I mentioned on here before how my granddaughter Sophie does not like many foods either, like B. She use to be starch only velveeta shells and cheese french fries chips tator tots she is finally trying and liking other things I think I told you before bacon seems to be top of her list now lol. I was amazed to hear B won't eat spaghettios, neither will Sophie the first time we gave them to her she gagged, she still hates them . And yes I had to use google to make sure I was spelling spaghettios right.
