Everyone who actually drives a Mirage loves it and says what you're saying, that it does so much better than what the "experts" say. The "experts" will say it's underpowered, cannot reach 70 mph, cannot pass, it's ugly, blah, blah, blah. They are just "car enthusiasts" who are out of touch with regular people. We just want a cheap reliable car that gets the job done. That's the Mirage! And that's why I just bought one, and I love it. It has plenty of power. The design & the light weight allows the 78 horsepower to be more than enough, and it's actually more powerful than my other car, which has 118hp. I actually like that it feels like a car from 15-20 years ago, with less technology, not complicated, an actual key, a real parking brake, a spare tire, and an infotainment system interface that doesn't look like an ipad that was jammed into the structure and sticking up into your line of sight out the window. I don't like all the new-age AI crap they're putting into cars, which is why I went with a base model Mirage. "Experts" don't like that there's an option available for those of us old-school drivers. They want everyone forced into the new age, which is a big reason why they're making up lies to criticize the Mirage.

I may sound crazy but damm in 2024 the mirage sure is one of the most beautiful cars on the market for everything you said. There’s just something beautiful about a simple utilitarian workhorse machine that just gets the job done without any BS. A dying breed of cars.

Seems like in Canada, where you actually need reliable vehicles, folks trust Mitsubishi. Then in the U.S. where it doesn't matter anyway, people dismiss Mitsubishis on false anecdotes.

Fun fact about the Mirage.. It is lighter than a Mazda Miata so to say 78HP is slow that’s crap it gets the job done..,Americans are so used to fast or faster and don’t appreciate a good quality car like this one just because it’s not a speed daemon we really need to ask ourselves when do we need to going super fast other a race track if we look around all the “fast cars” are usually in the salvage yards because they end up wrapped around a tree !!! This is crazy !! Great video sir hopefully more to come !!

Definitely agree the 78Hp does very well. I drive 500hp cars and have a drag car capable 1000hp. The Mirage is just fine to me it’s prefect for what I use it for traveling and daily driving. I actually bought this over a Mitsubishi Evo 10 I’ll get 10 here before to long but this Mirage is lovely car. Definitely more to come ordered so Mitsubishi extras for it! Thanks for watching!

Faster than a bike, safer and more comfortable than public transport, more utilitarian than a scooter, cheaper than uber, what’s not to love about the mirage? 😊

"safer and more comfortable than public transport" Uhhh no. Transportation can be a million times better but only get like 0.01% of road infrastructure funding. Show me any business that succeeded against the entire US government?

As a German, I can tell you that the thing runs top speed 170km/h=105mph. My favorite speed is between 120 and 130 km/h=75 and 80 mph. I mostly drive the car in the city, which is why I ordered the automatic transmission. However, the automatic transmission is not recommended on the highway. A manual transmission would be better. But all in all, I don't regret the purchase and would buy it again.

I got the 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage ES. Had it a bit less than 5 months, put 11,400 miles on it. Very good car! I have averaged 50.1 MPG for the lifetime of the car, which is, again 11,400 miles. Overall, I find 55-60 MPH to be the best cruising speed. Personally I go 55 MPH with cruise control. But it can go faster, like you did here. The tires seem to cut right through the water and grips nicely in the run, and it cuts through the mud nicely and.. Grips poorly, it gets stuck in mud. Don't go mudding in your Mirage. Either way, perfect car for me. Plenty of power.

I drive for a living (150k miles per year) and I think it's hilarious that people think it's too slow. 99 percent of the people on the road can't handle what they have😂 Anyone can learn to drive a slow vehicle effectively but everyone is too busy playing with their phone or radio to look past their hood and make decisions preemptively.

Looks like a perfect car for me: cheap upfront, fuel efficient which will definitely not take too much off 9-5 paycheck and enable me to start my side business. I do however have some questions: how does legroom compare to other compact cars like Toyota Yaris or Honda Fit? I am tall person, will I need seat moving modifications? What I liked about my old 2010 Kia which is totally worn out by now is a 43" legroom which felt much better than in a handful comparable Honda Civics and Toyota Corollas with only 41" legroom that I drove during driving school. Back seat legroom behind me is not a consideration as I hardly ever drive with more than 2 passengers. They can sit beside at the front and on the right side or middle at the back. With custom modification will I be able to push legroom up to 44"-45" range when front seat touches the back one? Another question is the fuel economy given that I am a heavy, overweight person 130kg or 280lbs. Will it decrease mpg by much or increase L/100km with 2 passengers of my weight in worst case scenario as we are involved in long distance trips occasionally? And lastly - what is the trunk space? Not in cubic feet, I can google that, but more like individual dimensions of length, width and depth. Being into model train business I regularly haul 4'x2'x3" train set boxes. Will at least handful of them, maybe 5 fit in a trunk? Thank you for the information.

I’m 6’3 220 I’m comfortable. The back I’ll measure for you and recomment. The g4 sedan has a bigger trunk than the hatch the rear seats do come down individually in the hatch. so no one sitting behind you definitely can fit that, but I’ll definitely measure for you.

@colinrooker42653 ай бұрын
I don't have the measurements, but since buying my Mirage, I have removed the seat-backs of the back seats, but left the actual seats in place. That has opened up quite a bit of storage space in back, and it lays relatively flat. With the seat-backs simply folded down, it's not flat, so storage will be clunky, so I just removed them. I'm not a handyman/toolman by any stretch, but even I was able to remove them quite easily. You just need to remove them with ease for the brackets to not scratch up the interior. In the very back, I laid down a couple old pillows, then put the cargo mat over them, which makes it almost perfectly level with the seats. On this page, this person removed the seats as well, which I decided against. I did have to remove the bracket & 2 seatbelt buckles in the middle (Step 4) before I was able to remove the seat-backs. Since that bracket sticks up, I was going to remove it anyway. mirageforum.com/forum/showthread.php/1922-DIY-Removing-the-rear-seats-(turn-your-Mirage-into-a-mini-cargo-van)
