I’ve always felt Bucky was the more interesting choice. He’s not like Steve, he’s not a beacon of righteousness. And I think it’s really interesting to see a man with so much guilt stepping into the symbol of mora authority. He may not be the logical choice, but being Cap would be more than an alias to Barnes, it’s a chance for redemption.

I liked Bucky as Captain America better because of the redemption story and how he was often an underdog. He wasn’t a Boy Scout, but he tried to honor his friend’s legacy

Logan LeBlanc u know what I don’t agree in the MCU. In the comics yeh sure. In the movies I think Sam is a better fit, Winter Soldier can still lead the thunderbolts and has a little bit of redemption left, he’s not ready for the Cap mantle yet. Falcon rlly needs something to do without Steve around tbh so him taking up the mantle and still not being aware why as he doesn’t have abilities will be so interesting to see on screen.

Why was Steve Rogers became Captain America? Its because of his sense of justice. Steve knew Sam has it, and I'm excited for that time when Sam will realize it himself.

Bucky was a rad Cap, rad-er than Sam IMO. He was pragmatic and got the job done in a very elegant style. I liked it.

Taylor Nelson yeah he lost control several times and brutally murdered people it’s cool ngl but it’s not captain America Sam poses that heart and morality more and Bucky didn’t even have the super soldier serum so that argument is ruled out.

I prefer Bucky. I think he would have made a great Captain America and it seemed like it was the direction that the MCU was going before Endgame

I think that taking the mantle as Captain America would have been the perfect way for Bucky to find his place in the world after everything that happened. And he has a version of the super serum so he can throw the shield. Also, if Bucky was Captain America it would have opened up a lot of awesome potential storylines.

Tamera Farly yeh it could but it’s the same with both Sam and Bucky tbh as there is a lot of overlooked Sam Wilson Cap stories, I just think we should give Sam a chance as Anthony Maccie is a fantastic actor and it’d be pretty awesome to see him do more on the MCU plus I just think Winter Soldier has a few more things to do before he becomes cap one of these being leading the thunderbolts and redeeming other ex villains. I wouldn’t worry to much anyway I can still see him taking on the mantle down the road. I do see your point though I just think both men have endless potential as Cap in the MCU.

Contrary to popular belief Sam was Captain America way before Bucky was. He first did it in Captain America:Sentinel of Liberity issue 8 from April 01,1999.

Buck as Cap was amazing! (Loved seeing Hawkeye as Cap too!) The obvious choice to step into the boots was always Bucky BUT....when the world found out he was an assassin there was no way he could stay. I tried to like Sam as Cap, I truly did. He had the skills, the know how, the killer CA costume! But he kept the wings! He wasn’t Captain Falcon for heck’s sake! He was Captain America! Besides that he was great! 😁

I feel like bucky would've been the best. If he just didn't treat as a legacy. And more of a calling. Sam treated like a calling. But,got bogged down by the legacy of racism an intolerance.

I like them both I want to see Bucky hood the shield next in the MCU at least as a temporary thing. Maybe Sam will do some epic stunt to save everyone and then they think he’s dead. So Bucky picks up the shield until he comes back. That would be awesome to see

bro i cant even imagine the mind of stan lee as he planned out everything and had such complex and long story lines for every character no matter their relevancy as they all played a major role. The MCU barely touches the actual comic book world

HulkThorFan18 well it had to narrow down to Falcon, because people always saw Cap and Falcon as a beacon of light, they’re heroes. Bucky, he was still a wanted fugitive. People wouldn’t admire him, considering the recent events of people he’s killed when he was brain washed.

Bucky cap is way better than falcon cap. It makes more sense with him trying to redeem himself and show the world hes not the killer he was made to be.

In the comics, bucky should have been able to be stay in the Stars and Stripes a bit longer. In the MCU, he should take up the mantle of Nomad.

Bucky's story becoming Cap is better.. more history, a redemption and more depth.. Way better than... On your left! Falcon is great as Falcon but it hits harder when a best friend becomes the programed enemy, Guilt ridden and then Redeemed..with a badass arm!

Bucky Barnes I rather pickup the mantle of Cap because they go way back. Don’t like the idea of a newbie character being promoted over an older character who had a longer relationship with Steve Rogers. Falcon is cool but Bucky Barnes is what Dick Grayson is to The Bat. Simple as that. Bucky Barnes is my guy. 😤

I was reading these comics everytime a new one came out. Not that Marvel now didn't do anything interesting with Falcon Cap but this run felt like it held more gravity.

I was more of a fan of Bucky Barnes Captain America then Falcon Captain America. It just seemed a better fit for Bucky then Sam. He killed a lot of people during his time as The Winter Solider and after Steve's death in Civil War; becoming Captain America was a way to honor his memory and give Bucky some redemption for what did as W.S.

MCU Captain America should've been handed down to Bucky instead of Falcon, because at the moment, MCU Falcon has net recieved enough character development to carry on such a loved character. But MCU Bucky has been through a lot and we've been with him through out his journey.

Ali BabaAhmed and we have seen Falcon go through similar character development as Steve, where as he hasn’t changed his values but he’s adjust to what’s being thrown at him, Falcon and Cap have similar core values and no matter what’s thrown at him keeps fighting and always has Cap’s back, that’s what makes him the next Captain America, sticking to his core values and fighting for what he believes in, now because he is Captain America we get to see his character grow even more while Bucky goes on his introspective arc

I feel like if Falcon or Bucky was alive during endgame, it would have made it easier to pass the shield, instead of both of them being gone. Like Bucky reforming and becoming a hero instead of a Assassin/terrorist, or Falcon becoming more of his own hero, beating his own bad guys.
