Did your ex wife tell you why she wanted a divorce? I find that women that divorce have told their husbands what’s making them unhappy yet it fell on deaf ears. Divorce is the last resort.

Just started watching, looks terrific 💯. This is the kind of nuance and sensible discussion we so badly need on this issue. Most of the noise is extremes and sensation-seeking content, dogmatic ideologies, and zero sum approaches to male - female sexual dynamics Currently writing a book on this topic. This channel his seems to be a great resource for building nuance and understanding

In traditional communities women were not sitting at home doing "artisan" work, they were working on the field as men did. On the top of that they had multiple childen (death at child birth was very common) that they had to take care of, not to mention cooking, cleaning and washing clothes (without any machines). Statement that women had better position economicaly before industrial rev. is juste bs. I recommend good read, Noble prize book of Reymont "The Peasants", to have a glimpse of women lives. Her theory just does not stand the historical facts.

Is it perhaps an issue of domain? When I hear that the matriarch does not have sufficient status in the culture, I wonder why that this status is sought after to begin with. Mothers have the deference of their families. Why would young women be driven to acquire the approval of strangers up to foregoing the prospect of creating a family of their own, when strangers are less likely to protect them in the first place? If this is truly an evolutionary adaptation, it seems quite counterproductive...

Women want to “be free” sexually, then wonder why men don’t want to build a life with the town bicycle and expect a traditional man. They want their cake and to eat it too. Life has choices and consequences, whether anyone likes it or not.

27:09 I think the loneliness has nothing to do with working I. Or out of the home. The loneliness comes from a poor connection between man and woman. The man is not meeting the woman’s emotional needs

I'll be frank, I liked the episode. But towards the end, I found it sort of relinquishing women of their poor decisions by blaming it on their societal perception. As in a woman will make bad decisions then blame it on what they thought society wanted them to do rather than what is correct or right. This is why men should lead. However, when a man tries to direct a woman, they rebel and make bad decisions as if they weren't told. Seems to me, these women are responsible for their own decisions, and we should treat them as such. They get no excuses, just like the men that sexually use them.

And yet a lot of men make terrible decisions and lot are also very indecisive as has been my experience and a fair number of Men are not meant to "lead" by any mean's this has been proven throughout history and in countless countries and cultures in which only men are in supreme leadership role and yup a lot of those countries are very unsuccessful. I know your referring to personal relationship's but couples needing to work together is painfully obvious. That being said I still wouldn't assume that all men cannot make proper decisions about themselves and their lives etc. and despite society having very low standards of Men's emotional intelligence and Men often acting accordingly I still think they are very capable and should not be spoken to or told what to do like a child as no woman or man ever should be.
@Black_Guy
@Black_Guy 10 ай бұрын
@eliciaeldridge3452 Leadership and dictation aren't the same things. Also, a lot more goes into a failed state than leadership because a leader is one man, but followers are many. That being said, better to follow a good woman than a bad man. I would say that rebellion has gotten the better of most society. It's easier for men to lead when a society has good values and everyone submits to them. It's very difficult to lead your family in a good direction in a world that openly encourages not only bad decisions but defiance of those seeking to guide in the correct way. Men are only human as are women, but men are tasked, both by women and society at large, to uphold the well-being of his family. Therefore, if he has such a responsibility, he must have authority. Otherwise, he's a quadriplegic man trying to climb a mountain. It is the woman's responsibility to do all she can to keep her husband strong so that he may execute his job to the best of his abilities. She is also supposed to act as counsel to advise on a matter and help her husband to make the best decision. It is the husband's duty to humble himself enough to listen to his wife and discern if her word is helpful. You are indeed correct: couples need to work together. But women should hearken to the words of good men who care about their well-being.
