For others out there who may not know the name, Zach Stewart of Marmion Academy was the only one to defeat Justin Wardlow in the championship round of the 2024 IHSA Individual State Final tournament in a 6-3 match. Stewart also defeated Wardlow earlier in the season in a 6-5 match as part of a dual meet between Lockport and Marmion, which took place at the latter high school.
