Rob definately had the more well thought out plan in the office haha. He is the best of the access crew and my personal favorite tho so cant say im surpised lol. If a zombie apocalypse really happened tho i think the best thing to do would be to fill a pack with non-parishable food, medical supplies, flashlight, hunting knife + whatever basic survival gear you can find, grab a blunt weapon and a gun with lots of ammo if possible then head far into the country where theres alot less potential zombies then just keep on the move except to rest or sleep. I dont think any house would make a good base of operations because if it got surrounded 10 zombies deep on every side youd be screwed, even if you could burricade it well enough they couldnt get in you still couldnt leave to scavenge for food and supplies so i think it would be smarter to keep on the move only stopping to rest or sleep and take shifts standing guard or sleeping with other members of the group. I suppose a house could work tho if you constantly had a group member stand guard and became skillfull at leading the heards of undead away then sneaking back to the house without being followed., otherwise the house would become increasingly surrounded to the point they would eventually break in or at the least you just wouldnt be able to leave for food, water etc and would eventually begin to starve and dehydrate making it even more difficult to make life or death decisions.

I’d go back to my secondary school, my town isn’t particularly large, my school will have food, water toilets etc, a metal fence around it, locked doors, we will have knifes and stuff from food technology, hammers, welders screwdrivers from DT and baseball bats,cricket bats and javelins from PE. Only problem is there’s a lot of windows

I quite like Dans 'just do a bit of diy' plan but I really think he needs to get his decorating supplies beforehand. B&Q would be packed with people looting supplies to board up their houses and stocking up on tools that could be used both practically and as weapons, especially since we don't really have any gun/weapon stores in the UK, apart from supermarkets, DIY stores and sports equipment stores would be the first places looted. Although having said that I don't think many people would be taking paint so he could just pop by once the looting's calmed down a bit and have a nice time picking out a shade.

I think for me I would try to obtain items that will help me fight or hunt. Assuming they're attracted to sound I think a gun would just attract more attention. Usable in the right situation though. Melee weapons and perhaps silent long range stuff. Archery equipment.

Thinking about it a Garden Centre would be a great place to fortify. They have all the seeds you need to grow your own food and plenty of soil and fertiliser to do so. They also sell spades, rakes and axes so you'd have a stockpile of melee weapons. Plus a car park could be turned into a, attack on Negan style, baracade/trap. Well played Dave.

Dave is right..fear / being scared means more cautious and safe. The first I would do is tool up at B&Q then turn my house into a fortress..ha ha

I live in Wales, plenty of countryside nearby, and spaced out towns, with few cities. What is also nearby though, is castles. They've proven to be effective for defending people in the pre-gunpowder world, and in the UK I don't see guns and explosives being a huge problem. Their is one near me that has been preserved, maintained, has a moat, drawbridge, plenty of room for farming inside the walls, and defensive positions. From their I'd use the castle as a base, and slowly spread out to nearby locations, picking up supplies, and maybe some survivors to help cultivate land, and potentially bring back electricity to locations my group holds. With electricity we could use that to improve production, increase morale, and of course use it as a bargaining chip against others. Though I don't know much about the UK power grid, so I'd hope one of the perople with me would have at least some know how.

I’d try to find a trick like in the telltale games where you can put zombie guts on yourself and go through zombies undedected

Being in the Royal Navy, I would grab my kids and head straight to my ship: lots of food (although never any fresh fruit!), a power generator, water purifier, and actual weapons ... I'd just need someone to get the ship out of the dock and help sail it away abit.

If the zombie apocalypse happened at 2 PM, I'd first hobble as many coworkers as possible, because... ya know... bait...

My favorite survivors: Rob and Dan. Cause they both stay calm, first reflect and then act. Bonus points for Dave, cause he admitted he would be more of a follower. Most realistic, cause not everyone can be a leader.

As a Homebase employee, I can say that there is no safer place to be in a zombie apocalypse. I can do what Dan said and disguise myself....and take a crowbar or axe off of the shelf to defend myself!

Technically Rob has the best plan but Dave's pure personality gives him the highest chance of survival due to his fear. Fear makes adrenaline rush and makes humans better at times, he's more likely to make a dumb decision but he's more likely to make a decision entirely while the rest scramble and fear. My own plan is pretty much staying amongst my neighborhood, a neighborhood full of country hicks I don't think there's 1 house in the area without 2 guns, I collect antique weaponry. Making a blockade around my neighborhood with all our cars would allow a way for us to tell when a problem is approaching and then we can act on it. In my neighborhood we have a fire chief, two policemen, roughly 14 dogs, and, most of the houses are multistory. Using the storage sheds and such as spare wood we could block off the lower floors from the upper and build small bridge systems between our houses to one or more of which will have an overhang over the car barrier for us to climb onto, which zombies and their minor lack of control would be incapable of properly climbing, an old woman with a stick could stop them from climbing it so that much would be enough for the time being. A small experiment or two to see the abilities of zombies from the smarter of the neighborhood would be good, see if zombies are capable of climbing a simple rope? Do they have the physical or even mental capabilities? If not there's our new means of entrance. While food is a primary problem I know for a fact at least 2 or 3 of my friends here have full deep freezers incase a paycheck is late or low, we'd have at least 4 or 5 days worth of food for the entire neighborhood AFTER we ran out of our own food, we'd have a long enough time to think of something. Roughly 50+ minds can think up a plan to keep us alive. In time of getting everything set and getting more settled, we could upgrade our means of living and safety with a few of my neighbor's lawnmowers, creating ready traps for any oncoming hoards to be slaughtered. Unfortunately since I am the single youngest person in the neighborhood short from children and 2 teenagers, I would likely be considered a prime candidate for scouting so I'll be dead in eh? 3 weeks? Good luck to the rest of my neighborhood though, lot of them have what it takes I'm sure.

My Only One Small Issue was While Rob was talking about His Situation.. With Walking being the Safer Option No Doubt. Him walking through a Rural Backfield made me think of the Opening Scene of 28 Weeks Later when The Main Character is Running for the Boat across a Farmers Field.. Now, Are we Basing all these Situations on Old Style Zombies Who Nearly Walk. Or Ones Who Can Now Run like in the Remake of the Dawn of The Dead and Movies/Games Following..

I would, find a fairly remote, secure location, that is still close to grocery stores and such, stockpile things like canned foods, cereal, dried foods, bottled water, get weapons, preferably something with reach, and is sturdy: Swords, Baseball bats, crowbar, metal pipe, etc. Stay in my hideout weeks at a time, only going out when I need more food.

Hide up the hills near my home. Can see for miles and difficult terrain so Zombies less likely to be there and a Good location with multiple towns/city within a days walk (20 miles). Use my ice axe (I climb munros summer & winter) as my main weapon and likely raid the outdoor stores before attempting super markets etc.
