One thing I would change is Cole interfering in the Miz vs Lawler ladder match. The fact that Cole had to save the Miz in a match where he was fighting a semi retired colour commentator ruined Miz’s title reign beyond repair

I think the anonymous general manger should have been a wrestler that was secretly putting things in his favor. Example, it could have been Edge who has been giving himself number #1 contender opportunities, or having a computer send out emails whenever he lost a title opportunity to reset the match as a backup plan. This is exactly who I said should have been selected for the RAW anonymous general manager. Michael Cole was who I half-expected it to be... but then.. Vince is an idiot so... whatever. But Cole was perfect for this. He was such an awful, obnoxious, terrible heel... I barely handle him at the normal level but during this point he was the worst of the worst.

Pretty crazy they booked Angle vs Alberto and Ricochet vs Osperay years ago at WCPW

There was nothing redeeming about The Anonymous Raw General Manager angle in real life. Honestly, Adam didn't do much here. He just gave the angle a proper re write.

John Laurinaitis SHOULD have been the Anonymous RAW General Manager, because it would have made more sense with the 2011 conspiracy angle after WWE Summer Slam 2011 ! It also could have given Johnny Ace a stronger boost and more credibility to his heel General Manager persona. The WWE had a miracle solution to properly ending the anonymous raw general manager storyline once and for all, and they blew it ! They could have had John Laurinaitis confess that he was the one behind the laptop computer on his very first night as the interim general manager of Monday night raw. That would’ve explained the anonymous general managers wishy-washy decisions and also the entire conspiracy angle. Johnny Ace could have said that Vince McMahon promised to make him a full-fledged general manager of raw, if he successfully ran the show behind a laptop computer without being discovered for an entire year. That would explain why Johnny Ace was determined to move Triple H out of power, and why all the crap involving Kevin Nash and the awesome truth happened. WWE’s loss !

If this man was in charge of WWE creative, I never would have stopped watching.

2 changes; 1) If you're going to make Cole the undisputed, completely in power GM, then I think at Elimination Chamber Lawler should beat Miz to win the title(it can be a fluke victor, or interference by Swagger backfiring or whatever) only for Cole to book him into a rematch the next night on Raw and screwing him out of the title. 2) Lawler should piledrive Cole on the GM laptop at Mania for the win.

he says the anonymous gm shouldnt be a wrestler because they couldnt be taken seriously, but i think santino could do well in this roll because he was never taken seriously, and as he showed in 2008 he can be an amazing heel with great mic skills

Why do I remember them doing a "How WWE SHOULD book Roman Reigns to get cheered?" It went something like, they work him getting booted from the main roster and have him go to indies as Joe Anoa'i, and creating this "I was good enough, but WWE doesn't like Good" persona of him, slowly coming back to NXT, and then returning to the Main Roster.

The realism of the ending of the Mania match having Lawler finish it with a laptop shot. I doubt the WWE would let Cole take a piledriver

When you think about the fact that Hornswoggle got more story-lines and TV time than a lot of the Legends and Hall of Famers lol 😂 Also, I would have liked it to have been Shane or Eric Michael Cole could have been cool and a reason that would have made sense actually. I mean you wouldn't have been able to tell it was him, even with all of the times he was seen texting on-screen or looking at the computer on screen. I never really liked Cole, but I could have seen that better than who it was.

Fun fact: In Hornswoggle's book, he details there was originally a plan for him to change gimmicks to a legit heel authority figure who operated above Vince himself after being revealed. Would have been actually interesting to see a little person wrestler not booked as a joke. It didn't go through because Vince was set on the new character having a jersey accent, and Dylan (swoggle) couldn't do it, so they scrapped the idea and wrote the reveal off as a joke. Real squandered potential

This is why I preferred what TNA was doing at the time WWE was doing this, it wasn't until WWE did the Rock v Cena and the rise of CM Punk in mid to later 2011, that I truly was invested in WWE. In my opinion, the Anonymous Raw GM is the DARK AGES OF THE WWE.

I can just imagine Cole and Swagger recreating the Vince McMahon Royal Rumble skits. I HATE LAWLER! I HATE LAWLER! I HATE LAWLER!

The only tweak I would make in this scenario is, instead Cole interfering at Elimination Chamber, Jerry wins the WWE title in a feel good moment. Vince would've told Michael that it's a pay per view, and he feels like his personal feelings would get in the way of business, so he orders him to stay in his little "cole mine" for the rest of the night and (for comedic sake) gives him a "friend" to keep him company, you be the judge of who this is. The very next night on RAW, Miz invokes his rematch clause, and wins back the title via the way Adam booked it with Cole interfering. The rest of story plays out as it did, but the outcome now is that Jerry Lawler finally won the WWE title and wins his first match at WrestleMania, his two biggest regrets finally fulfilled (or however you say it).

The biggest problems with heel Michael Cole was that he was forced and overdone. And it especially didn't help that he, along with Miz, were getting Daniel Bryan heat. And as a result, Cole became the worst heel ever!

I wish it was batista...see, as soon as batista left wwe, raw gm came in...and no one excepted that too..
