@8:13 - #KUDOS on the channel, and your pursuit of furthering your knowledge with a graduate degree! Would like to see a video on the Nintendo GameBoy Advance (GBA) handheld and its usage of the game link cable(s) to "communicate" (i.e., local multiplayer games) with another GBA(s).

This has been informative. I'm from a CS background but want to do a master's in CE from Essex (they apparently accept CS people for it, and it's mostly focused on Embedded Software and High Level Logic Design). This has helped me understand the challenges I'll need to consider if I were to take on this master's while also working full time.

Yeah I'm kind of in a similar position. Fully high-level software background but thinking of going into more low-level / embedded code.

Wow man!!! I just discovered your channel last day and saw that you had some cool announcements but the last video was 6 months old. I thought I lost you and you're not gonna be here anymore but here you are, looking better than ever. Just remember, no matter what happens make videos for me atleast. You have earned one loyal subscriber here! Looking forward to more great videos.

@ZygalStudios I also have a question. I am right now stuck between going for "Embedded engineering" working on hardware+software side of it and going for "Data science" as a career. I can't find my calling, both fields excites me and a big reason is people like you make me love the domain more. But I am nowhere near your 5% expertise. Even to try amd test what excites me, might take a few weeks to learn the basics and soo far basics for anything motivates me but whenever I get stuck with complexities, I lose my interest in that thing. I KNOW I AM A COMPLICATED PERSON 😅 By the way, I know about digital signal processing, signal and systems, feedback systems, microcontrollers, languages like C, C++, python etc and embedded sytems (basics) and more what you discussed in the previous videos "How to start in embedded systems" or something like that title of the video. Do let me know if there anyway I can seek guidance from you or talk to you about few of my queries.

I challenge thee to make a Sega megadrive/ Atari Jaguar clone console using a m68000 clone and chip clones for tom and jerry. Using whatever method you can. Then crowd fund it and release. Edit:. You are awesome for challenging yourself at work and in school. While not an engineer I went back to school mid life and have zero regrets and zero debt.

Can you make video which can differentiate Android emulator and Android x86 os , i wanted to know about the how Android x86 os runs directly Android apps in pc intel/amd processors , even if the application supports only arm32/64 , we can run it in Android x86 , by enabling native bridge, i wanted to know how it works, because in a low end laptop we can not run emulator in it but we can use Android x86 which runs better than windows . Like this i wonder how a application for Android (whose name is Wine 🍷 ) can cun windows executable files in Android .

Man, 1st step is get a job that isn’t burning you out because they’ve outsourced to the cheapest bidder and you’re fixing bugs 12 hours a day. Young engineers: don’t shorten your life and love for the career by working for bad companies.

What are your thoughts on someone currently working on a CS degree pursuing a career in embedded hardware? I have over 7 years working with electronics (assembly, diag, common testing tools) and started a degree in EE but had to stop a couple semesters in.

If you have experience at that level, you'd be fine with a CS degree to do embedded systems. I only caution a CS degree background, because I think those people expect to be able to use the same techniques you learned in school, but you just won't be able to and you have to care and have the motivation to understand how the hardware works, otherwise you'll be disappointed.

What do you think about a career working as a digital designer vs working with a traditional embedded developer with C/C++ know what you have learned in your studies?

I think I'd enjoy both! They both have unique challenges and constraints. I think there can be some room of overlap between the two 😀
