Dividend is added to the NAV which is shown in public. If Mutual Fund receives dividend - your NAV increases.

Dividend is transferred to the bank account of the unit holders of the mutual fund and If an investor has chosen a mutual fund with growth option, then his dividend is reinvested again.And he get the additional unit of that mutual fund scheme.

Sir if you are in index fund then the dividend is reinvested into the same company. The fall in stock on a exdate is adjusted in index. This is how index fund is replicate the index after expense ratio.

Fir bhi agar m aapkey example ko sahi maanu or 9% ka return maanu toh after tax k baad 8.1% ka return milega(LTCG is just 10% & upto 1 lac it is tax free)
