Stop lying KZfaq. You do absolutely nothing against fraudulent copyright claims - as stated by countless youtubers

You need to require the claimant to provide not only a time stamp for music claims, but some proof too. A link to the original source would help, along with the correct name of the track and proof they have permission to represent them. I got a claim from a guy who used public domain music in his video, claimed it as his own... then copyright claimed me and many others channels. Not a single check by KZfaq. A ridiculous situation.

What was explained in this video is NOT TRUE in real world I'm afraid! My channel with around half a million subs was targeted by false copyright claims from one of the content ID owners because he didn't like my videos! The result: 5 strikes! & a complete closure & termination of my 3 channels! (as they were linked to the same gmail account) and even after contacting KZfaq support many times, NO ONE seems interested to even investigate if there was any misuse to the tool!!

How KZfaq Fights Fraudulent Copyright Claims and Takedowns: They don't.

Watching this video tells me that you are aware of the absurd amount of copyright claims out there... the thing is, why is it that instead of making bad videos (like this one) you don't do anything to change this situation? There are laws, laws are bigger than record companies, you should follow the law, not the wishes of the record companies. Remember that creators are your income source, stop neglecting them.

It's so frustrating. Someone has submitted a false copyright claim on our music video. The music arrangement arrangement, mixing, editing, and sound engineering and vocals for the audio track are entirely our own work (for which we worked for around a month) and then suddenly after we uploaded the video we got a false copyright claim. Why does KZfaq not blacklist these people who submit false copyright claims? There should be counter copyright strikes against these people who make false copyright claims just to sit over it for 30 days. KZfaq are you listening???

I made a student film in 2001. I had all original music composed and recorded. So many people have tried to claim it because of BIRD sounds in the video. These were free bird sounds for people to use, and many people have used it in their songs. How the heck can they use bird sounds to try to claim my content? Now SME is monetizing my video because they think a song they made AFTER mine is somehow theirs. My brother composed and recorded all the songs for me! I wrote them about it and explained everything and it was REJECTED. Now if I try to do it again I could get a strike even though I did not use their content at all.

Recently KZfaq allowed a construction company in India called "Lodha" to falsely takedown over 40 of the KZfaqr Krishnaraj Rao's videos, because he highlighted the shoddy construction quality of the company. How can KZfaq allow such a blatant abuse of its takedown system? In cases like this, KZfaq should not only reinstate said videos and punish the abuser, but I think youtube should also help the KZfaqr in such cases to fight the abuser in a court of law, because the KZfaqr in 99% of these cases are unable to do so, and these absuers of the system KNOWS it!

HOW CAN A CLAIMANT GET IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO THE KZfaq REVENUE? This is the first issue that you guys have to fix. We creators, work very hard to contribute to the community only to be abused by troll claimants who gets MORE ADVANTAGE. Why do copyright owners take the entire monetary value of a video because of a few seconds of background TV audio was included? Why can't it be the % of time that the sound is being played?

5:13 Last month I had five copyright strikes on my account due to Content ID claims that misidentified content protected by Fair Use. This took away my ability to upload for weeks, almost resulted in my channel being deleted, and I lost a lot of money to the point where I could hardly afford to eat let alone afford legal help to sue the companies abusing Content ID. In the future I think it'd be best if Content ID claims didn't result in strikes seeing how easy it is for companies to ignore Fair Use and keep content suppressed.

Really? Because the same fake company in Brazil has been making fake claims since 2018. I can file a dispute, but the ACTUAL COPYRIGHT OWNER can’t do anything because YOU ‘don’t review copyright content disputes’.

Hi - I made the counter notification for a video that a had a copyright strike . He made a strike on my piano tutorial , even though it turns out he didn't write the song, he only made a remix - I didn't even make the tutorial for his remixed version, I made it for the original - which he does not own the rights to ... Now after almost a month , the issue has still not been resolved and my video has not been reinstated. Under my copyright notices it turns out he DISPUTED my counter notification of the strike, and it is now under review by KZfaq . It was my understanding that this video MUST be put back up after 10 working days, but I still have a strike on my account, from someone who does not even own the rights . I even reached out to him before I made the counter notification - he ignored me, then after I made the counter notification he finally starting talking to me and was incredibly aggressive. He refuses to just retract the claim - even though it is a piano tutorial that I made with my own keyboard on a song he doesn't own the rights to... How is this possible, and why has my video not been reinstated ? Thanks

This may sound nice, but it's not working. I've tried to report people multiple times for abusing the copyright system and all these times I got stuck in a loop of automated and copy/paste replies. KZfaq showed zero interest.

I also love how he ends the video by saying that if there are any questions to ask them in the comments, yet I see no replies to any posts, even the ones that are asking questions without the frustration behind them.

But sir, filing a false copyright claim gives the person doing so a lot of power to do as they please, so why wouldn't scammers abuse it for profit? I mean, I could reasonably copyright claim people illegally and steal their profits, and if they fight me, I can reject their dispute, copyright strike them, and threaten legal action even though I don't own the rights to anything, because that's how the current system is set up. Do you even bother to see why that's a problem?

The answer is simple, you don't.

I was victimized 3 times by fraudulent video takedowns and KZfaq did absolutely nothing to help me. I was considered guilty by KZfaq for these baseless claims and had to file counter notifications giving the offender all of my personal information in the process. Years of hard work and money spent all went down the drain in a two week period because a malicious channel just felt like attacking me. This is a seriously messed up system that caused me tremendous mental anguish and heartache. This video says zero tolerance for people who abuse the copyright claim system, well I’m here to say I did nothing wrong and had my channel suspended until my first counter notification appeal went through while the attacker was free to make videos and slander me. KZfaq could really improve on the whole process. It seems the claimant has all the power and control even if they aren't legit. KZfaq should verify their identity and validity or their claims before punishing creators. They system seems rigged. Not only that but if you do get a strike it's very difficult to find any complete information on who did it and why specifically they did it. More details re needed.

Why doesn't youtube have an option to dispute a claim that says "The claim is fraudulant" or "This content does not exist in this video"? This is ridiculous. People falsely claiming people's video should be banned from the platform.

I have had a lot of problems with false copyright claims against my videos that KZfaq doesn't bother to check. The steps in this text have worked for me in the past. The example is for music but could also be adapted for video content. Obviously if you have made a genuine mistake don't open a dispute!! I am not a lawyer in any way, just sharing what has worked for me in the past when I am sure I have correctly used video or audio. Any action you take is 100% at your own risk. 1. say "I believe you are pursuing a false copyright claim for 'Track title - Track song' Which does not seem to exist under that title" (the music or video they are claiming to own or manage if incorrectly named) 2. Ask for a timestamp and title if not provided. 3. Ask for them to provide and original source and provide links to the original content, always read the requirements of the original artist, you may have to provide links on your video description to them as requested. especially true of creative commons material. 4. The final step I say the following.... If you feel this is not correct please provide a link to the source material, proof of ownership, and proof of a copyright management agreement for the artist and track. On receiving proof I can either... Take down my video and re-upload in an edited form. Blank out the audio of the offending timestamp. Edit the video from within KZfaq to remove the section in dispute. Or purchase a license from you if you can provide the proof and links outlined above. Unfortunately due to previous dubious copyright claims I never allow a video to remain uploaded and give away revenue. Kind regards, (Name)

Really not interested in having stuff explained to me that I already know, or having rules reiterated to me that I already work within. I'll be much more interested when KZfaq announces that they've removed Content ID tools from serial abusers like YAM112003 Endemol and Melberries, and shutting down content farm channels like the Indonesian kid who tried to claim ownership of Sony's God of War when I uploaded a let's play of it. Actions speak louder than words. Then again, it's all moot, because Article 13 stands poised to destroy all of us.

Meanwhile, people still can copyright claim a video, wait out 29 days, then revoke the claim and instantly renew it instead of being blocked for a year or two.

Just got falsely striked and nothing has been fixed

From what I was told which is unfortunate if true is that many companies who falsely claim videos, like for the use of music you have full rights to use, will monetize them in the dispute process while purposely rejecting your claim the first time as they will receive all the funds that way. To me that is a pretty big loophole that is being abused.

Your system is broken and you know it. Every couple of months you come out with more excuses on why original content is claimed by people who don't own it. You're not protecting content creators and you're not fixing the problem.

Here is an idea, go by "innocent until proven guilty" and not give people a strike until the claiment provides evidence it is their content and does not fall under fair use.

The impact false copyright claims have on the victims and not the perpetrators is an incredible abuse of those who provide all the work for making KZfaq a success. The way how KZfaq fails to deal with these issues is destructive and pathetic. This is especially true for channels where artists play classical music on their own instruments and still get claims and strikes, destroying their work. I have no sympathy at all for the way how KZfaq keeps failing on this.

In December last year I've uploaded a longer video mix (over an hour) of my own created animated videos / cartoons / music videos for kids that I am author of and all music (each song I've produced / composed... etc) I've protected in Sokoj (Serbia) and in Gema (the rest of the World) during the last few years. When I uploaded that video mix - I've added time-lines in description - what music video starts and where... And the same moment I've uploaded - I've got "Copyright Claims" "manually detected (!?) and by several, to me unknown sources (!?) It was large shock, I've sent disputes and got response that I need to prove that my music is composed, arranged and edited by me (!?) I go straight to Sokoj and they told me that this is "mistake" (!?) because they (SOKOJ) created typo-s in song names so all my songs that I've copyrighted appeared under several artist names, even it is the same, only one artist - me. So my songs were listed under "djnick", "djnykk", "deetronic" and "nykk deetronic" (!?) and basically - system recognized ME as author attacking MYSELF as user (!) It was insane month, I think I've spent over 2-3 weeks of annoying meetings, writing e-mails and sending disputes to 7 unknown copyright holders that, somehow (by mistake, they say) - get a hold of my own compositions which I am 100% author of! I've received message from KZfaq "Do not worry - if your videos, manually detected proves that they are truly yours - Copyright Claimers will return you and all money they took will be - refund". And guess what. After horrifying 3 weeks of pain and nonsense - I got all my songs back (with "big Sorry" in e-mail / messages!) and... NO money is RETURNED! Those 7 "wrongly claimed companies" took money during those 3 weeks. When whole video is monetised again - it just started without "Boost". First upload video boost money took those 7 companies. And just to add one more name to make aware of. They are named "[Merlin] KVZ Digital" and they are shutting down everything... It is big clan with fraud shut downs, please research them - you will find lots of fraud claims and they are based in Wienna, connected with Serbia (!) through Romania! They shutting one of my song (out of my video mix) and I've been very angry writing in dispute to immediately remove claim as I am going to sue them in next 24 hours beacuse I am the one and only author of this song! And in next 2-3 days - they released the claim with "Sorry, it was mistake"! I feel terrible after this incident. They are taking down everything from everywhere even from authors they do not have rights to. I am asking you to please check their activity. Thanks.

The Content ID tool used to be horribly abused by music publishers .... and still occasionally. The best example .... if you use Apple Garage Band loops or tracks in your videos ..... music publishers will try and claim ownership of those loops and parts. THEY DO NOT ..... CAN NOT OWN an open source product owned by millions of people. These music publishers have made serious money off of KZfaqrs falsely claiming ownership of Garage Band music. I have fought it every time and won everytime. KZfaq should suspend these abusive publishers.

KZfaq refuse to take action on anything that is "auto generated" by them, even if it is your own stolen material.

So, what are you doing about Warner Chappell's false claims against channels like Mumbo Jumbo, who got over 400 over the course of just hours? The company is building a reputation for these false claims, spanning multiple years.

Easy fix. Attach your debit card to youtube just like Amazon. Then when some one wrongfully copyright strikes and gets proven it's bogus, you get your money back earned x2. The original money your video makes plus that same amount the video made is taken away from the abuser. And youtube gets to deduct their share from the abuser for misusing the tool.

Why is it then that recently, channels with zero strikes have suddenly been entirely demonetized (eg. Brian G Johnson & Godless Cranium) without any warning for "reused content," when they operate under fair use and only upload original content? And they aren't even told which videos are in violation and why.

Richard Grannon filed three bogus copyright takedown claims to ... MY content!!! My account faces termination and until then I cannot upload new content. KZfaq hasn't responded to any of my emails. KZfaq need to eliminate the copyright takedown and strikes system which is abusive and favors claimants, however fake. Disputed videos should be removed and the parties should sort it out in the courts. KZfaq should not appoint itself judge, jury, and executioner on behalf of nearly anonymous third parties.

I created all of my content and I have 0 purchased content or anyone else's content and one worker who edited my videos has a low resolution, black and white videos snipped of my videos because he was editing them before they were rendered and he threatened me and black mailed me into giving him money. I had to comply and do it, even though I know I have the original size color footage, because I am sure KZfaq would not support me in this matter. IF he uploaded that snipped before I did, I have nothing, literally nothing that can defend me. From my understanding, KZfaq often doesn't even care if you have something to say back. IT felt horrible being black mailed. I had no legal proof of him black mailing me. After the first black mail and when I gave in because he set the clock on it, I decided it is time to contact police and tell them he will try to black mail me again, but he was smart and went away with cash and never blackmailed me again. I feel so horrible that KZfaq has no real team who actually takes a closer look into what is the original footage. At least to a certain degree so that we can allow someone to edit the videos at least. This way I have to edit stupid videos all day long and lose valuable time, not allowing anyone to even get a peek at what i am making because that could ruin my entire life. How horrible...

3 years ago I sent you a great idea to fix copyright issues and it’s still not fixed. And you stand there saying all you have to do is dispute and WE review... you don’t even make the decisions unless it’s a community strike as for copyright it’s actually the claimant that has the final say that’s how messed your system is. After a KZfaqr makes a dispute several things can happen the claimant does nothing for 30 days then the claim gets expired, the claimant blocks or delete the video, the claimant rejects the appeal and strikes the channel. The abuse of copyright on KZfaq is disturbing, videos of people playing a guitar without any other original sounds included get claimed. So many other videos too around the youtube world I can go on forever literally. making a dispute is like jumping in an active volcano 🌋. Your actions prove you don’t care about creators because you’re making so much money from google ads, KZfaq red and KZfaq TV. You make immediate changes on the platform when it comes to children and teens because they’re a huge audience on the platform. And you don’t want migrate them to KZfaq Kids because of your competitors “Facebook” there would be a massive drop in viewership on the main platform but you won’t make immediate changes for creators that built this platform which is absurd, what you don’t understand is every beginning has an end. Each month I check on the google news to check KZfaq updates, and you haven’t updated your copyright at all but you’re constantly creating new shows on Red which equals more dollars 💵 for you and other stuff that majority of creators don’t ask for. You’re destroying yourselves without realising it because you believe you’ll be here forever and dominate the video market without helping creators. KZfaq doesn’t check anything they just reply the info to the Troll making the claim. I just make a dispute with With proof of having permission to use the content from the real owner and the response from KZfaq was immediate when it should take more than a month. Saying is not sufficient for the owner ( the troll making that claim) or they maybe employees taking advantage of the system

I've got my first copyright strike this month, it's a fraudulent claim, my video was taken down immediately and I have to wait 10 US business days to get it resolved! RIDICULOUS!

Why I don't get is why videos are taken down immediately even though cases have not been settled? They should be taken down only after appeal has been rejected and case escalated to the internal team or AFTER a conclusion have been made in copyright claim cases. You get punished for days and your video removed even when potentially no wrong has been made. Also, the fact that people can make false copyright claims and get away with it is disturbing. I have a content creator doing this to me now, it is not their video and I can prove it, yet my video has been taken down. We'll see what will come out of it, but if KZfaq follows their own guidelines as they claim here, the guy who made the claim against me should have his channel terminated.

Also there's a KZfaqr by the name "Lazy Lu" who abuses her takedown notification against other KZfaqrs for Criticizing her. Looks like someone needs to get educated about Fair Use.

You don't fight false copyright claims. You turn the innocent guilty by letting the guilty put claims on the innocent. It's so stupid. I want to live stream a public domain video that i KNOW is in the public domain but my stream will get shut down because some faker has claimed it. It's so stupid! And don't get me started on having to give my private information to some fake claimant. Not going to happen. This company has been a nightmare since 2018.

In my experience, youtube does a LOUSY JOB in fighting bogus copyright claims!!!! ALL my videos buys commercial licenses to use the music in my videos. I have gotten dozens of BOGUS CLAIMS and the supposed track I violated sounds NOTHING like the music on my video. I recently got a BOGUS copyright claim and through wasted time/energy to get it removed -- which it did a few days ago. I tried to livestream that same video BUT KZfaq this morning REMOVED (????) it with a warning for a strike, even though claim was released. KZfaq uses state of the art AI systems to identify copyrights violations, yet is VERY VERY SLOW to update copyright claim removal info. and penalizes me (????) with warning/strike when I have done everything legitimately and legally to uphold copyrights with a paid for commercial license. PLEASE KZfaq, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND STOP PENALIZING falsely YT creators.

Things aren’t exactly cut & dry since the system wouldn’t accept someone’s name saying it’s misspelled so the signature box lights up red not allowing the creator attempting to put in a counter action against fraudulent strikes. Also there are creators who are paying other creators to flag or report channels they want to take down resulting in unfair user interaction and success on the yt community and platform. If a take down copyright claim is requested & they claim the entire content was used when actually a very short portion of the content was used it creates an unfair imbalance that has not prompt action to remedy this problem. The creator is attacked by groups of paid people to ensure their intentions successfully destroy channels with more subscribers and much better content. Creators shouldn’t be permitted to gangstalk other creators & get away with it all while having discussions confirming engagement in illegal & unethical and unfair behavior. When a creator with 5 times or more the amount of subscribers are bombarded by harassment in the form of strike imo yt should be vigilant of more than one creator striking the same channel in one day & in close proximity of the other. There should be an alert of such activity and looked into immediately. Creators that take advantage of the yt platform by behaving in repulsive and dangerous acts during the broadcast of a livestream and quickly escape any disciplinary action taken against them only shows disrespect and disregard for the opportunity to be here while at the same time taking out creators that actually create, channels that produce content the public will enjoy and interact with. These channels press go live and end that’s the extent of their creativity the majority of the hours they’re on live sleeping, at other times being very disrespectful and rude, vulgar. A creator that jumps into Lake Tahoe in November on a livestream without a disclaimer or trigger warnings safety warning or precaution is negligent and irresponsible, or a creator that taunts the audience by grabbing a huge utensil from the kitchen drawer & act as if they will harm themselves on a livestream & someone watching contacted the police that went to her house and she acted like it was a joke. I’m certain there must have been some that reported the video but it was deleted as stated previously. Please 🙏 see if you’re able to catch bad actors with ill intend. One creator 5 strikes in one 1 day by two creators, at another time 2 strikes to another channel one from each creator as the last time again, I mean how obvious can it be? More important unfair practices makes for bad results.

Why, when a copyright claim is made, does the superchat money for said video also go to the claimant? No one is donating money to those a**holes. It should stay with the creators.

How can we report false content ID claims? Please investigate Videoland - 緯來電視網 for abusing Content ID. Mistakes does not equal abuse, but multiple mistakes over the year does imply that they don't know how to properly use Content ID and appear to be abusing it.

Hey KZfaq, I was just wondering... The YPP system does not allow channels with reused content thus the channel is demonetized, I don't quite understand this since the copyright system already exist. Why not just demonetize individual videos instead of demonetizing the whole channel with the YPP? The YPP is just too strict for small creators

You have to demand proof of copyright in all cases that come up for review. You need to also attain if a takedown is the true intent of the copyright holder.

I just got fake copyright takedown and that person is now pretending to be me, and KZfaq wants me to hand over all my personal information to them as 'contact info'... Who in the right mind would give their personal information over to a criminal? You make it so easy to fake copyright strike with no proof of ownership, but make it extremely difficult for the victim to handle. There isn't a single way to directly and safely deal with this, or even contact KZfaq about it. Good job.

Got a fraudulent content id claim today for a song in my video but i don't have music in the video at all. I have disputed it and waiting for youtube to take action on this matter. It's amazing how someone can just claim my video when i am the sole creator of that video and never use music. The claimer also knows who i am. But i have no idea WHO THEY ARE! Not cool!

I appreciate the importance of protecting the owner of the copyright. It must be annoying doing all that hard work and then having people make use of your content without payment or attribution in some way. I don't appreciate getting months of hard work, hundreds of dollars which took me a long time to save, two weeks of annual leave, and a strategically targeted release date/time for my video getting utterly destroyed as it was with a copyright claim for a video clip which I have the paid-for license and rights to use. I also have written assurances from i-stock whom I purchased the video clip from that I have the legitimate rights to use this content in a produced video. But all this now means nothing as far as getting any return on the huge investment of time and money that I put into this. Gone!

I just received a false copyright claim by an unrelated company, after I used "Fair Use" of a news broadcast from last night. The false claim company put together a reaction video using the same clip, then falsely claimed that they own the clip that THE MEXICAN NATIONAL NEWS office in Mexico City actually owns the rights to. I will sue if KZfaq doesn't straighten this out within just a few days.

When will you address copyright trolls like UMG ?

I am currently the victim of fraudulent copyright claims against my content. A single person that lives outside of the United States (so no threat of agreeing to "under penalty of perjury...") is claiming copyright infringement on multiple videos of mine in an attempt to get my channel terminated. I DID NOT INFRINGE ON THEIR COPYRIGHT. I've received 2 strikes in the past 5 days and need assistance in filing a counter-claim. Thank you - any help would be great appreciated before I lose my livelihood to this troll.

Yeah, but even after I dispute several videos for the same Abusers of false claims, these claims still keep happening by the same culprits, over and over again. So KZfaq just keeps letting them put false claims on content they don't own and I have to dispute them time and time again. Then I have to wait out the 30 days for the false claim to be ignored before it is removed. So why doesn't KZfaq stop repeat offenders putting false claims on content they don't own?

KZfaq needs to fix the abused system. I have had copyright claims for songs that weren't even in the video I made.

I was watching The Enforcer livestream just a little while ago when the video stopped in the middle and said "Video unavailable". I refreshed the page thinking it was a KZfaq malfunction and saw another message on a blank page saying "Video unavailable This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Marshall Reinhardt". I have never seen this happen while a stream was live. I suspect this is bogus, as this channel has had several bogus copyright claims put on them before and got them reversed because another channel's members are harassing them with bogus claims when the content did not belong to them. I hope someone at KZfaq sees this and reverses this issue. The Enforcer is a good channel and they do not go around violating copyrights. Generally they make sure anything they share is under Fair Use, as they are a news channel. I find it quite disturbing that the video was interrupted right in the middle of a livestream. Usually they are given time to dispute it before any action is taken and are just sent a message that a claim has been filed. KZfaq should be aware that they have been harassed by a particular channel that views them as competition because they cover the war in Ukraine and have been more successful. I don't know whether the software program you mentioned has the capability to remove a video immediately like this or not, but like I said I have never seen this happen instantly before. KZfaq should not allow any action taken until some live person can review and see if a claim is legit. This hurts honest content creators. You don't HAVE to allow this on your platform. You control what goes on on your platform; not AI or some computer.

A youtuber has been giving my friend fake copyright strikes

I received a copyright strike/copyright takedown notice on a meditation video that I made entirely from scratch. There was no "content used" given or any information about the reason. I don't have money for a lawyer so I didn't dare to make a counter notification. @youtubecreators this copyright strike/copyright takedown is clearly broken. It leaves small creators like me exposed to random copyright strikes from large companies.

I would like a clear way to point out that a different (free use) song is being used than that is claimed. Every claim I've received and contested has been by a corporation owning the rights to a song that sounds nothing at all like the one (usually a free use one from my Samsung phone) being used. There seems to be lots of copyright fishing by big corporations who just send out tons of copyright claims. Perhaps this doesn't matter to users who have monetized their channels but I create lots of educational stuff and the ads KZfaq uses for these are often unappropriate for schools.

4 years on from this video and the scammers are still trying to steal hard earned monetisation from videos. You've done nothing in 4 years but enable them.

what if someone has carried out a fake copyright strike and has succeeded in taking down the content?

I'm going through this right now. When I uploaded my video under fair use (the clips from movies in it are brief and voiced over with my comments), it was automatically blocked due to a copyright claim. I filed a dispute, and the rights-holder agreed to release the video for public viewing. Now, weeks later, a third party that has no rights to the material has not only blocked my video, but it's filed a strike against my channel. It couldn't be more clearly an abuse, yet everything I'm seeing from youtube claims they only process this kind of thing if it's legitimate. It isn't. They also claim that people with youtube channels can file the complaints, yet this 3rd party does not appear to even have a youtube channel. If I don't get action on this, I'm going to have to cancel my channel. There is no point putting the work in if random 3rd parties can get my videos blocked.

I have a stalker and a person that has been trying to destroy me, slander me, and still all of my product for 6 years. Any thing that I do she goes and claims it, I put a book trailer up on KZfaq and she claimed it and KZfaq took it down!

This is what I think: You should allow the claimant to mute a timestamped section of the video that they own, but not the entire video. Also, you should not allow the claimants any monetization or ads, because that encourages many people to abuse the system for monetary gain. If they want to block an entire video, they should have direct support from the youtube staff. Also, you should be much harder on the abuser. Maybe give THEM a strike for abuse.

random people claim content which doesnt even belong to them

I have had no support from KZfaq and there is nothing I can find on the internet to help. I am going through the same thing. I have someone using various email addresses and taking down my videos on false copyright claim, this is my 7th KZfaq channel subscription. I feel powerless and not able to post on my account. KZfaq can you help or someone please give me advice.

We have zero tolerance to false claims and putting copyright material to a video.

Dear KZfaq, we received both a copyright strike and a video takedown on 17th March 2021 from Disney Enterprises Inc for live streaming a game called "American Dad Apocalypse Soon" streamed on 8th November 2020. A simple YT search of this game shows plenty of other videos and channels uploading it. No warning or ability to identify HOW or WHY streaming this game breached copyright, especially when it was our own original gameplay and our own original commentary. Why do we have to "dox" ourselves to the claimant by submitting a counter notification? Finally the impact on our channel is huge as we are unable to livestream for 90 days (our primary source of content and income) while this is in dispute. Even if we are successful in our claim, we lose revenue and the ability to upload.

so what will/has happened to that pokemain who literally says she puts in take down requests because she doesn't like how somebody used her footage to prove she was being a nasty piece of work? or what about ksi who has a copyright claim against his video, for using music he made, by somebody who even he said, doesnt own his copyright..?

My channel is being destroyed by bogus claims on my material. There is no dispute button and KZfaq support could care less. I have never seen such a lack of respect for content creators. 7 Years I spent making my channel to have it wiped out by false claims. KZfaq (Google), you need to do better!

I wonder if "our team works hard" include reviewing our disputes for fake copyright claims
