Robin was actually a legit WWE fan back then, early - mid/late 90’s a few of em (Robin, Ronnie and his crew - Neil Drake, Wayne Seagel maybe Dominic Barbera but dunno) would get together for the PPVs, that’s why she would be in heaven when most of the wrestlers came in

I sense Steve was ready to throw backhands around that studio. Especially at that little loudmouth butting in

Austin was too proud to admit that his career was at an end….he refused to job to Brock in 2002 and less than a year later, he had his “final” match against Rock at Wrestlemania

Vince tried hard to get him to stay, what you're saying makes no sense.

In a few years, he became a multiple times Royal Rumble winner and WWE Champion. In such a short time, he accomplished what others couldn't in their entire careers. Eventually, there was very little the creative could do with him and new talents such as Brock Lesnar needed to be pushed in order to lead the company to the Ruthless Aggression Era.

It's Steve Austin though, why should he job to some newcomer at the time on a random episode of Raw? It wasn't even that Steve didn't want to put Brock over, he wanted it done on a PPV with a storyline

It's not that he didn't want to do the job. He didn't want to do it without having a run with Brock.

When you break your neck for the WWE it comes as no surprise but I suppose WM 38 goes to show he could have kept going.
