I will change this stupid comment to something better. instead of asking an animator to talk about how good demon slayer is you should be asking a 3d animator (ufotable does things in 3d 90% of the time) about how good ufotable is at compositing and a breakdown on ufotable as a studio, stuff like that. Really I just want a breakdown on Terao, Yuuichi atm.

It's beautiful to see how "art begets more art", how you, an animating artist, are inspired by other animating artists. It makes me think of a quote from Stephen King: "if you don't have time to read, you don't have time to write." 😊
@6drk6mrc6

Nice response but I believe art's main source should be reality, otherwise we are going die under the weight of remakes, and remasters and reboots, self-indulgent self-referential meta-fiction losing more of its core in spectacle.
@BiancaAguglia
@BiancaAguglia 5 жыл бұрын
@@6drk6mrc6 Reality and originality are two of those topics that can be debated ad infinitum. 😊 I personally don't mind remakes as long as they are not a way of plagiarizing or carbon-copying but a way of exploring. They show me how an artist experiences a glimpse of reality captured by another artist. But you made a very good point about reality being a source of inspiration. When artists capture that reality in their own style, in a way that feels authentic, unguarded, well ... that's some powerful art. 😊
@6drk6mrc6
@6drk6mrc6 5 жыл бұрын
@@maya_yaser Yes, there can be art without other artists to be inspired from: Cave people didn't learn how to draw pictures to cave walls from others. But, I see what do you mean of course it is important to be inspired by others, but what I mean is this: If your only resource of inspiration is other artists in your field (nowadays it seems most people are like this) what you are going to do is not creation but regurgitation. Hollywood for example now acts like Ouroboros or more like Human Centipede, something fresh and new is hardly coming out. For me art is a natural inclination of humans in hopes to transfer experience, be it physical or intellectual. So, if a creator has no real experience but only other peoples creations, then you can't find a uniqe angle in their works.

It’s a master piece. Saitama: it’s animation is RAW! It’s so intense. So wild! So fast! It’s just so big and over the top. Levi v beast titan: the animation was intense. It was full of hype. And very fast paste. You really feel the strikes Levi gave to beast titan.

I have a theory on how the painting commercial was made. Again because it is a theory it is not fact and should not be taken as so. I believe that they recorded the video and then use modern-day editing to get the effects of images constantly changing into other images. Once they had the commercial they liked, they broke this commercial down into individual frames.Hired a single painter to paint each frame individually and then recompiled these images that he had painted reforming it back into a video.

@@evilgirlfangs This is just me, but I know the show as Kimetsu no Yaiba and not demon slayer because that's what its called on the site I watch it on. While you might find typing extra few letters to be a waste of time, for me, the mental jump required for me to connect the show I'm thinking of to a different name than I'm used to seeing it referred to as and then typing it, is actually more time-consuming. But really in the grand scheme of things taking the time to write your (and my own) comments is significantly more time-consuming than typing it either way so in conclusion this is a pointless argument. demon slayer has 12 characters including the space kimetsu no yaiba has 16 characters including the spaces I type around 70-80 wpm, so at 75 wpm which, assuming the average word to 5 letters long, implies a typing speed of 6.25 keystrokes a second therefore there is less than a second difference in typing both names...

Just so you know the reason that the Castlevania intro is done in that way is because it is flames. The first few seconds are Draculas wife burning at the stake, and the rest is either the consequences of that or the cause/main characters. It is so good even without that context, but if you watch the show it just is amazing!

I'm working on a pretty long project, and since I'm only animating for fun, do you think it would be a good idea to make other shorter animations as well?
@TheLuconic
@TheLuconic 5 жыл бұрын
I personally think it's up to you. If you make shorter films, you can be more consistent on uploading, if you are trying to make an image for yourself. Longer projects get recognized later, but still recognized. I guess it's more like, how much work you are willing to do for each project. For me, I got too many projects and it hinders me greatly. I am re-planning a few to shorter animations to fit all that I want to do. I dont know your situation at all, just try to understand what you are doing and what you want and judge with those things in mind.

@@HowardWimshurst I get it. Lota of beginners tackle something they never done, or for a lengthy degree. Its up to the persona ability for there are some who have talent and can handle longer films. Me for example cant. I produce animations under 10 seconds.... my last was like 3 seconds long and I added some effects. I'm still a frame by frame beginner though, if you wondering how long I been doing it for....... not very long. But I still apply certain principles when tackling new fields. Always take my time, get used to it, learn the necessities and become decent enough to start being more creative. I did that with my garage and on my ipad. Got some songs for my animations. Sorry, I ramble. I really try not to when replying....

I’m a 3D artist, it’s somewhat different, I haven’t really tried 2d animation,nor 2d at all. I only tampered with it when I was looking at game development in 2d. But, I do gotta say. You can do something for 5 hours and you’ll end up with a 8 second animation. So how people do this is beyond me. I’ve been animating for 4 years and I still have mild skill level. When you animate yourself, it really brings the attention to how much dedication and skill it takes to do this stuff.
