New To Facebook or haven't been on Facebook for a while? In this video, I'll show you how to use Facebook step by step, from creating your account to more advanced settings.
This is going to cover Facebook for personal use. If you want to learn about using Facebook for your business, watch this video:
Facebook has been around since 2004. Back then, it was only available to college students.
It currently has nearly 3 billion active users. Facebook also owns Instagram and Whatsapp.
You can create a Facebook account at facebook.com with an email and password. You do have to be at least 13 years old to have a Facebook account.
Once you log in, you can add a profile picture, add friends, write a status update, share photos and videos, and much more.
You can also leave comments on posts and send private messages using Messenger.
Facebook also has a section called Facebook Stories for sharing short-form videos with friends.

Hi! I'm trying to find out how to included the embedded link, so that when I go back to edit my own content, I can still keep the original message/ and page, from where I am sharing an article. The problem is: When I preview the edit, the original content and page I want to promote, is showing. But, when I complete (to show post on my page) it only shows the link, or embedded code. Can you help? Thanks!!

I'm pretty sure there has been updates again, since your tutorial. I was able to do what I was wanting to do (as showing in my previous question), in Sept and Oct in this year.

You forgot to add what to do when Facebook locks you out of your account, requests your phone number confirmation and then asks you to enter the 6 digit code it claims it sent you but actually didn't. And around and round it goes. I've been a member of Facebook for just a week, had virtually 0 activity on my account, added a comment to a friend's photos and commented on a second friends page, yet Facebook claims I have contravened their rules and regulations. I just don't get it???

Never been a fan of Facebook…honestly never used it …have a Instagram…but I noticed Facebook has alot of “groups” that Instagram doesn’t….great comprehensive video👍🏽

yes I agree Facebook is terrible lv close my account because facebook discrimination against men l had some women on my facebook account and they was posting sexually explicit pictures and l made a comment and they got offended. Facebook is a disinformation tool for the democratic party and Twitter

Hi - thanks so much for this video. I am a complete newbie to FB. Have managed to set up a personal page and attach a second page to it for my home baking business. I have never wanted to do FB on a personal level as I am very private but I know I need it to help my small business to grow. I am slowly going to be adding photos of my bakes etc and eventually will want people to see it. Not sure if you can help but I have hit a wall! I need to 'create a username for the page (it prompts me to do this under the business name) so that people don't get my page mixed up with others of the same name but when I click on this and try to action it, the message says 'you are not eligible to create a username' . I believe I am reasonably tech savvy but I cannot get passed this. Would really appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thank you very much.

Newsfeed is the home page. So you can see what anyone posted on Facebook for their friends to see. Timeline is your profile page. You can see what people posted just to you on the timeline. So they are two separate pages

What is the purpose of the "create post" button on someone else's page? Surely I may not create articles there. And what is "check in"? I can't even guess the meaning in this context. They use some modern terms in place of traditional. Also is it possible to upload my "photo" (avatar) in higher quality without chroma subsampling? I have seen a business page with crisp drawings in png format.

Hello. I am not on Facebook currently. I was over 10 years ago because I truly don’t like it. However, often times when I do courses online I have to join their community on Facebook to updates etc. I honestly don’t want to join but I see I have no choice. Is there a way that I can join and I can block myself from being noticed. I just don’t need Facebook for personal use. I thought about using a different name but then the courses I’m doing won’t recognize my real name etc. Please help :)) thank you!

Here's something I have never been able to figure out...I understand that when I post something on my timeline or my friends' timelines, my friends can see those posts, comment, like, etc. But when I go to someone's page who is NOT a mutual friend and post there, how is it my friends can still see my posts? Example, I was on page about my favorite sports teams recently, made a comment, and noticed my Dad "liked" my comment. He doesn't care about sports...how did he know I posted on that page?? I don't want people in my friends' list to be able to "follow" my comments on other pages. How do I prevent this?

Don't allow people to post on your timeline. Go to Settings. Click Profile and Tagging from the right side. Next to "Who can post on my profile," select Only Me. If friends see the post in your feed, you may not be able to stop them commenting or liking.

@@anniejagielski6483 I'm not sure you understood the issue. I don't care if people post on MY timeline. What I care about is when I navigate over to someone else's page on FB, let's say it's about an NFL Football team, and I post a comment on THAT page, I don't want what I posted on THAT page visible on MY timeline to MY facebook friends when they bring up my profile. If I post a comment on a FB page about a band I like, I don't want that comment on MY timeline visible to MY facebook friends when they bring up my profile. I have emailed and asked Facebook technical support about this at least three times, and never gotten a response. Because of this, I find myself using Facebook less and less....so many of these privacy related issues are not made clear to users.

HOW DO YOU EDIT or ADD SHORTCUTS to the top of the FACEBOOK PAGE? I only have 3. You have 5 and your Name the + sign, Messages icon, bell icon and arrow down. Mine has none of that. The iPhone App looks normal.

How do you sign up without paying for it? I've seen older videos where the signup page said "It's free and always will be", but now they have removed that statement from the login page and when I try to sign up they want a credit card number.

Nice tutorial, except that I've avoided any interest at all in FB for YEARS! At this point I still wish to avoid it as a place to congregate "friends". But now at last, wonder if it could be helpful to a serious artist? I remain very wary about exposure to potential interaction with the unknown public. Sorry, I am wondering how to trust this venue.
