The rule is that if the word you are saying is a completely different thing or person it can have part of the word in it. Godmother is a completely different person than Godfather. Another example: if the password was Ireland, a legitimate clue could be Poland, even though "land" is part of the actual password.

You don't have to watch every movie or showto know or understand popular cultural references. I knew about The Godfather as a little kid before I was old enough to watch it, I used to tell my Mom, "I am going to make you an offer you can't refuse." I had no idea what it meant.

Yes and no. When the contestant doesn’t know most of the pop culture references for the show it’s hard to actually play the game. If I were her I wouldn’t have even signed up to be on the show if I knew I wasn’t going to have the frame of reference for most of it. First of all, that’s setting myself up for major embarrassment and, secondly, I’d be making the game more difficult for my partner/everyone involved. I can understand Howie’s frustration. Also, these celebs are trying to help these ppl win and she’s not helping him do that. Idk…. I was frustrated with her too. Anyway, I think he could’ve been super rude, but instead he was joking around and making it as silly as he could considering. Idk… none of its a great situation. If she had any self awareness she should’ve declined going on password. People shouldn’t put themselves in these sorts of situations when it’s in their control to avoid looking a fool.

I like it. Keke is a great host! But it's a little easier than old password. People had to work harder to get clues. Sometimes they didn't get them after several clues.

1:54 I excuse her for not having seen "Star Wars". I DO NOT excuse the judges for accepting the "godmother" clue. Moreover, I think they should have dropped the password and drawn a new one right after Jimmy used his hands, which was a major hint for his partner. There need to be some rules and stakes, not just all this comradery and gleefulness, it gets boring pretty quickly that way.

Another thing: I hate categories during Password. It quickly defines weather or not it'll be interesting for the viewer. Just put in random words, forget about the categories.
