Hello. I have a problem. My usb mouse was broken and i had error “power surge on usb port damage”. After couple of this errors my Dell lagged and blue death screen appeared. I reload my laptop because of instant 0% - and then after restart black screen appeared with “no bootable device” error. With diagnostics on F5 i have problem “hard drive not installed”. Changing boot settings from Legacy to UEFI didn’t help. Is my hard drive dead, or it can be revived? Will be all my data gone? Or it can particularly saved? From D drive at least

I am borrowing a laptop and it also has this problem that all of the sudden it shuts down and restarts with the message: no bootable device found". When I restart the laptop again it works fine again for a few hours and then this happens again. Why would it work fine and then crash like this and work fine again after restarting the laptop? Would restore it to the factory settings be enough to fix this?

I had the same problem. Today I got SSD changed to new SSD as the last time could not start the same way. I thought SSD gone . So changed it. 2 hours ago I received the laptop but having same problem.

Fixed it, i just needed to disable the secure boot to enable legacy boot and it just worked. Hope it helps someone in need.

To solve the problem, 1) Secure boot should be disables 2) select legacy option in boot sequence 3) enable legacy in advanced boot option 4) in system configration select sata operation then select achi option Follow above all 4 option simple one more way is 1 1) load default and 4th option Problem will be solved...
