Great tip to change the code from integral to number, this is the only answer I found to the issue after looking for a long time! It happens as well importing excel numbers sometimes apparently that it automatically appears rounded... Keep up the good work with these videos!

Very clear Bas, I knew it was somewhere around the regional settings. Change applied, workaround removed, done! I mainly import .csv from an US SaaS and pulled my remaining hair out battling with decimal point separator.

I love that you videos may seem basic from the title, but then you go to the extra mile and always find really good tips in them! Any trick for different date formats?

I can relate to the second csv issue of new columns - what I take out of this video is that one can actually delete the 'column' parameter. I didn't realize! :-) Thanks for sharing

Why everybody is asking for subscription "if this is the first time you visit the channel". Seriously? I want to know if you content suits my needs or preferences and then AFTER that i will consider subscribing. Hey Bas! I have a question where I can't find the answer to anywhere... I can't figure out why the decimal numbers in my CSV file show up with multiple decimal points. (eg: 6.34829851043932 showing as 634.829.851.043.932) PowerBI will import the same format and then when I want to change the data type to a decimal number it'll give an error. Is there a solution to this?

What if the decimals are missing, like Power BI automatically rounds it up to a whole number and when you go and try to change it to decimal again, decimals are just not there (all the numbers show like xxxx.00)?

Hi Elena, you have to check the assigned data type step in your query. There you've assigned whole number as a data type you need to replace that with the data type decimal number.

bit hard to say what's going on based on the info - but check the steps to see at what point they dissapear. My guess is that there is a promoted headers step that should be removed?
