Mobile upgrade is definitely fantastic and I’m glad the cat tail cafe is opening soon, my Anemo characters are Sucrose and Jean (plus maybe Aether) so I’m not sure about pulling for this girl on Itto banner (not getting him just want the girl if she’s good).

Your assumption about short patch length is wrong. We have 35-day patches is because of that covid lockdown in Beijing. We had Ayaka's banner for longer than 21 days because of that. Therefore, shorter patches was released to catch up with Hoyoverse's planned roadmap. It's has been always 42-day patches, except a few occasions like these recently one and 1.3 (Hu Tao could not be announced initially because Chinese New Year). Hope that clear up a few thing.
