Hozier is the opposite of a catfish. Usually idols fall from grace the more they reveal themselves but with Hozier it's an ever building crescendo of pleasant surprises. i honestly am anticipating this build up to end with the revelation that Hozier is the supreme lord of the universe, because i see no other logical conclusion.

i agrée with the crescendo of surprises but i think.. the best part about hozier is that he *is* a real person.

Okay, not to idealize, but if Hozier was the supreme lord of the universe the universe would be a hell of a lot better

This song feels more relevant than ever in 2024. Boeing, screams of the dying, murdered reporters and skies over yemen. Damn.

Every year that passes, the message of this song is more profound and damning than before. So many people think of Hozier as some sort of "cottagecore bog man" guy, but this is who he is. He's such strong political messages in his work, he said in a recent interview that there is a time for fun love songs and there is a time to think about the messages being putting into your work. I cannot wait for the new full album because he will blow us away with commetary such as this I'm certain!

It’s a song he wrote DURING his Wasteland Baby tour, so it’s only been around for a little over 2 years, think, so if you didn’t get tickets to his tour in 2019, you might not have even known it existed
