Great review. I bought mine from Costco for $600. Their sales guy said not many people buy it because they don't like the screen. The screen has a little bit of rainbowing effect. He didn't know why. After taking it home I realized it's for the privacy screen function. I was issued an EVO laptop from work and I am thoroughly impressed. However that one is a $2,500 unit from Dell that my work paid for. This one is nearly a 1/4 the price and I'm impressed for what it is. I initially wanted a MacBook Air M1. However it's about $850 at Costco. I can't compare the cpus because they're completely different beasts. As for the ram, this one has double. And for the storage, this also has double the drive space. I'm sure I'd fill up the Mac hard drive in no time. Since it's baked on the board, it cannot be upgraded. This one can. You can get away with not using a thunderbolt dock on this one. You can get a usb-c to hdmi adapter and hook this up to an external monitor. Hook up your keyboard and mouse and you're good to go. You may not have wired networking but you can buy a usb to Cat5 adapter for about $20. I love this laptop.

Just bought a factory refurbished one for $450

I bought this from Costco for $600 because the reviews seemed pretty good. HP promised up to 13 hours of “mixed use” battery life on the specs (which I know is typically overstated) but mine has extremely underwhelming battery life. One hour of use just browsing the web with the screen on lowest brightness and keyboard backlight off drained the battery 20%, meaning that it would only last 5 hours just browsing the web. Anything intensive will kill the battery within an hour or two so it’s really frustrating to the point where I am considering returning it. Every review said that this gets 7-9 hours using the internet or word processing. But I didn’t buy this laptop to browse the web or type word documents; I would have bought a chrome book or celeron laptop otherwise. I don’t understand why high performance components (i5, 16 gb Ram) are matched with such a weak battery. If I was okay with keeping it plugged in all the time, I would have just bought a desktop. I either got a defective battery or this laptop is not as good as the reviews say. :(
