Finally, I've been waiting for more premium built AMD Ryzen 4000 series laptops. Nothing wrong with the all Plastic ones out there, but I prefer the portable and well-built feel of these type of ultrabooks.

Just placed an order for this laptop. I don't mind the barrel charger because the important thing is you still have the option to be able to charge thru the laptop's USB-C port. Sure, it would've been nice if they had provided a 2nd USB-C port instead, but just having the one is sufficient for me.

Ordering from the US HP website, it does come included with the pen.

BTW, in ordering the laptop on HP"s website, the configuration does show that the pen is included. It's for the basic HP pen, but they give you the option to upgrade to the HP tilt pen for $30 more.

Some regions include a pen other regions don't include any pen

the 16 gb ram option is not available on HPs website at this time

I bought the HP Envy x360 convertible 10 days ago in Canada for about USD $800-equivalent. The stylus came with the machine so no extra cost. I came from an older Acer, so the lack of ports required changes. The result was buying a multi-port splitter for USB-C. It works well, although the splitter runs hot even with only the internet port operating without tying up the USB-C port. It looks and feels very good. The camera switch is great, but the paperwork with the box was really skimpy for these details. I'd say it's a decent beast

Why should it be type c charger and what's wrong with the barrel charger ? And the HP Spectre might be more of his liking than the envy model

I've just buy 13-ay0111AU, Is it normal that the air from the fan comes out only on the right channel? CPU temperature always work at 90 cc I'm so worry about it

Do you know if the HP Tilt pen is fully supported by this device? Looking it up yielded conflicting results.

Yes, I am getting mine tommorow and there was an option to get the active tilt pen.

In fairness, compared to the Hp spectre, it's hundreds cheaper so I'm not complaining about it not including the pen. Also the HP pen is cheaper than that of Dell for example. For me it would be crazy to go for the spectre 13 over this, I actually prefer this design too :)

I'm glad to hear that you find the display to be bright since I just ordered one. However, you mentioned and wrote that the display is 400 nits. The HP website and data site lists it as 300 nits. FYI, thanks for the review.

I got the model before this. It does have the pen included and the USB ports are normal, not with that moving stuff. BUT: the fan holes are on the bottom which is not the best the touch pad is smaller the bottom bezel is thicker it doesn't charge through the USB-C port

I'm not sure with the 13" everywhere, but I know the 15" includes the non tilt pen. On Hp's site the tilt pen 2.0 is a $30 upgrade. Me personally, I would actually rather have the barrel plug in the box since I have enough USB-C chargers, and it free's up the port to be used by something else like a display over USB C. I do understand why other people would want it however

Yeah, not sure of the hate for the DC jack, it does charging over USB C if you want, but you also get the option out of the box of DC jack charging and having a free USB C port - conversely the Ideapad 5 only has USB C charging so if you want/need to charge it with the stock charger then you can't use a USB C accessory. HP did it the right way, not to mention the USB C (that supports charging) port and DC jack are on opposite sides of the laptop, so its pretty easy to set things up on your desk whichever side you want charging on. Lastly well all the review units don't seem to include the pen, it clearly states on HP's website when ordering one that it comes with a HP Pen included and you can upgrade to the tilt pen, at least in the US.

watching you again -- okay for your review ... but overall. your room has no stuff in it! Where is all your sfuff or dont you have any stuff? That jaw drop on the USB A port will break... for sure....

Dude who needs thunderbolt It has 20gbits of bandwidth It can run a 4k display with an external hard drive and read an sd card through a regular 3.2 type c hub Not to mention having a separate charging port (worst case scenario) Real world usage Plug in any usb c dongle (sd card reader _ external drive dongle - usb c to hdmi - your phone's charger ) or buy a hub if you need The only hypothetical use for thunderbolt is the e gpu which costs more than a ps5 Like is that even a real life scenario Let's buy a budget Ultrabook and hook it up to an external gpu that costs as much as an entire gaming console plus like 5 games I mean thunderbolt is a solution looking for a problem

Just so you are aware, this version of the hp envy x360 does not support usb-c to hdmi. It only does usb-c to display port.

Why are you not informing people that there is a cheaper and better spec'd 13.3 Ryzen powered Envy available at Costco for $750? You sponsered by HP to not give people the best deal or do you not keep up with the industry and fail to do your homework before a video? The sale has been up for longer than this video, almost a week.
