i just got the omen and i love it

I got this machine configured with 8 GB of RAM and the GTX 1050. It's a bit sluggish when you switch from games to applications and back, probably due to the RAM usage showing between 40 and 50% in Task Manager. Thankfully, 32 GB capacity gives room to correct the problem.

Which one do you recommend? Dell 7567, Acer VX15, HP Omen, Lenovo Y520?

Screen might be better in the 4K version, but the GTX 1050 would suffer really bad, even in its Ti version :/ Not sure it is solid advice there! Apart from that I love your style man, keep it up!

Has anyone bought or is considering the latest 2017 HP Omen 17? You can get it with the new 7th gen i7, GTX 1070 (8GB), a 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, 95Wh battery and a 4K display. Those high-end components for under $2K seem incredible!

I have this laptop with a GTX 1070. Loving it so far! Add and M.2 NVME SSD and this thing is godly! The only gripe I have is that the logo is a sticker and comes off very quickly! Overall beastly laptop!

Great review man, as always. I reviewed a lower spec model of this one (7300hq) and had Issues with the bottom right of the surface, where you'd rest you right wrist typing, getting very warm when under load (plugged in). Did you experience anything similar?

picked myself up a pavilion 15t with a 1050 4gb, i7 7700hq, 1 tb hdd 7200 rpm, and 12 GB of ram, with a 1080p IPS display. It's pretty much the same as the Omen but without the gamer aesthetic, it has a blue backlit keyboard with the regular hp logo that is reflective.

All tech people I do video editing would you recommend this labtop or the dell g3 or any other suggestions need to stay under 800

Question please!! I've this one and suddenly Nvidia driver disappeared from device manager and can't be reinstalled or detected on motherboard, and I got thermal shutdown message while startup (code 90d). Is that a hardware or software issue?

In 2020 you can buy a 1050ti 12gb ram ddr4 1tb 7200rpm and 128gb ssd for 600. I bought mine used in 2018 for 600$

Can you buy the 1080P version and then later on upgrade the panel to 4k?

I ordered two and both came damaged. The build quality is very cheap and the fan noise is loud. It also heats up very quickly and causes your hands to sweat. I returned mine and got a Dell 7567 and the build quality on the Dell is so much better

I bought the 1050ti 4k variant. All is ok except the fan noise. It is very noisy, keep that in mind

ok i curently have a hp omen laptop and i love it but the one problem with it is the heat it will become a big problem and you should get a cooling mount (not pad they dont work as well) but the heat comes out the back in about a 6 and half inch gap and mounts are only 2 inches so how do you get a cooling mount!??!? can i only use a pad??!??!

dell 7567 or this laptop?? overall for gaming and which one is the best for the cooling system? btw, I know that dell 7567 has a little bad on screen and the colour..

Great review =) Unfortunatley the Omen series isn't available here in Brazil, and even if it were it would be so expensive I wouldn't be able to afford one. I may have an opportunity to travel to Paraguay soon and the Omen 15 GTX 1050 4k costs around $1400 there. I know it's a bit more expensive then in the USA, but here it wouldn't cost less then 2.5k dollars, Would you recommend me another similar notebook in the 1000~1300 dollars range? The display is upgradeable i had 60hrtz now i have ips 120hertz with better color accuracy. Cost 80 bucks but 60 in the end. Laptopscreens website is what i used

I really like the Omen but which laptop has the 4K because I found one at £800 and it gradually goes up in about 1-200 up to £1600 and I couldn’t find anywhere telling me which one has 4K
