since this video was made i would suggest also to uninstall any mouse or keyboard softwares (even glorious dont worry about debounce time and set ur dpi on the mouse) and uninstall nvidia geforce experience, you can always re download it later and get the latest drivers when a new game you want drops and then uninstall it once again, if you like to record gameplay id suggest using obs and as far as filters id suggest just using basic nvidia settings by right clicking your desktop and adjusting brightness and contrast along with gamma - the brightness and contrast cant be too high on device or nvidia settings or the gamma wont get the best out of your monitor as far as color - id do this while in game on your favorite game set as windowed so you can see how your changes affect the game as an nvidia filter would, but without the fps drop a filter would add to your G Ram

I used a command prompt line I can't remember exactly what it was i would google "ultimate performance power plan command line"

I wouldn't worry about the power plan you may actually get better temps from the AMD Ryzen High Performance one, I switched to that one after a while because the other one had issues after a recent windows update and the performance should be about the same with less unnecessary voltage, I think the biggest limitation recently on games is the servers and the gpu but its usually servers (every game really needs specific tweaks like the anti aliasing option esp seems to help framerate alot

@@dartlingaming Yea the problem with me is that it only gives me the basic power plan and nothing else sadly. Do you know how I can get the other options?

@@NinnoVillareal in search near start menu type power it should come up with "edit power plan" as an option for control panel, click that and then change advanced power settings, there should be a dropdown menu that has the power plans

your geforce experience may need an update to the drivers, try going to the search bar at bottom left and go into the geforce experience app itself and the top right should tell you if there are any updates, I think that's probably what it is, they've had quite a few updates since the pc released I should have mentioned this in the video

Another thing is, make sure you go to settings>general in-game overlay and enable it

I never thought to ask, what kind of monitor are you running and have you set it inside of nvidia control panel to 144hz or whatever the monitor cap is? sometimes the game may limit things automatically based off that...you shouldn't get lower frames, but if the framerate is defaulted to your monitor set rate that could be lowering you down

@@EZDaygo it depends on the game and your settings but you can get between 100 to 150 with the same card you need to turn anti aliasing off and also turn open world streaming on set the limit to 1GB per day...lmk if this changes anything, if you can get a refund for your pc and are willing to build one talk to me because I basically did that with the omen parts and a new motherboard and psu

It probably shouldn't have to do it again unless you change ram or CPU or something thermally like fans because it might be able to tune again in the future and get slightly more FPS but it's probably not by very much maybe 5-10fps I'd imagine

you can change the brightness in the nvidia control panel from right clicking on the desktop background, as well as adjusting most brightness via the monitor to get the ideal settings for your monitor and pc

@@myfellowneckbeards2787 you can really tweak the nvidia appearance esp to improve visibility in some games, sometimes you may have to write down settings for a specific game because if you make one to lighten up dark corners and such it can make brightness look ugly on other games but it's all just balancing it and preference! glad I was able to help!

Should the performance tuning take a while?

yeah, I wouldn't worry about it just pick the highest option available I switched to a different power plan recently and haven't noticed a difference, I think the nividia and in game settings make a bigger difference

yeah it takes like 20 minutes or so maybe a little less or more esp first time doing it

Is this good for amd processors too?

@@dartlingaming on amd you can use ryzen master, wich is very good. Intel xtu is just for intel

you can go into the omen command center app and change the fan speed, before doing so take a look at what it says the temp is to make sure its not running hot

@@dartlingaming so I have played with the fan speeds. Kept it on quite, but middle of games the cooler still screams. So I would say it's over heating but the cpu temp is usually 80-90c and gpu at around the same. Idle everything is at 60c gpu at 70c I took the shroud off my graphics card, but don't see or hear any difference. I put new high performance thermal paste on the gpu as well but not on the cpu as I am nervous to remove the cpu Lol

You Might Have To set up your geforce account
