WPS stands for Wi-Fi Protected Setup, which is a wireless network security standard. My understanding is that when the WPS button if pressed, beware, because if you live in an apartment complex for example, your neighbor's next door Wi-Fi- device can easily gain access to your network as well, if the right timing and opportunity were to present itself. That WPS is to protect your system from intruders. I agree, HP is the worst with regard to customer assistance, but beware of the WPS or read up on it at least. I do agree though, HP is the worst for customer service, just awful...

AFTER 2 HOURS of watching vids, using the HP support and looking through all the internet, your video litterly saved my printer. I was about to throw it to the garbage when I incountered your short video - and after few minutes it worked! THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing that so crucial tip. you've done better than HP themselves.

The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system kzfaq.infoUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.

I recently replaced my router. Things went well until I wanted to print wirelessly to my HP Deskjet 2544 printer. HP online info was no help. Came across this on KZfaq. After 2 hours of fruitless trying my problems were resolved in minutes. The solid blue Wi-Fi was such a relief and pleasure to see. Many, many thanks.

This worked for me in 2024 for my Deskjet 2546R. I do recommend bringing the printer closer to the router. After it worked I put it back in my bedroom and it still worked. I was so close to throwing this printer out. I have had it since 2015.

Pauliojr. Thank you so much for positing this video. I love HP printers, but every time we move, it has been a struggle to get our printer connected wirelessly. Your instructions were so simple. I think HP should hire you to write their instructions as I have been through reams of those and still could not get my printer to connect to my wifi. Again, thanks.

I actually had to go into the router and add a Static IP with the printers MAC address for your WPS procedure to work. Just pressing the Wifi on the printer and the WPS on the router would no work. Even pressing the Wifi and X cancel for 3 seconds to reset the printer Wifi would not work.I then had to go into Settings Devices on Windows 11 to add the printer.

I think I'm going to have to abandon this HP product. It was working fine for a couple of months and then just stopped connecting. All indications show that everything is fine, but it won't print any document from my computer. It will print a test sheet, so I know the printer works, but the connection is missing. And, as mentioned before, the ink runs dry too quickly. Ready to change up! Thanks for your efforts. I just wish my outcome had been better.

I did it twice and it worked!!! Solid blue light now 💙 I followed the vid and notice my wifi button got turned off. So i held it for 5 sec (my wifi went from blinking blue>off>back to blinking blue. Also the wifi bars on the display were blinking) Went and held WPS button for 1 sec. Came back, blue light blinked a few times then stay SOLID 💙 😍😍😍 Thanks so much for this vid!!! I've been trying to fix my parents' printer for almost 9 years now 😭

My printer blue light is solid. Print out of my Information Report says I’m connected to Network A. I check my Wifi on my Mac PC and it says I’m on Network A. I open my HP Smart and I have two printer icons above both say UNAVAILABLE. I have uninstalled the software and it still returns the same. Tried set up/add a new printer. Pinter IP address is known will not connect. Doesn’t recognize my wifi network. Network for printer doesn’t match description but worked once. Now doesn’t accept password.

I tried this - the blue light next to the Wi-fi symbol is blue (i.e. not blinking) but there's a Wi-fi symbol on the panel with an exclamation mark next to it still. When I try to connect to my home Wi-fi via laptop, the printer (or something) refuses to believe that I have entered the correct Network key......

I’m not sure if this will help anyone but if you’re having connectivity issues then check your WiFi settings. I couldn’t connect because my WiFi was WEP, I switched to WPA2 and everything worked flawlessly.

I have the same printer and having instant ink connection issues. Like it's saying no account email is connected when IT IS! Everything set up as it should be, accounts all correct, instant ink subscription paid monthly. WHY DO THESE PRINTER SUCK ASS SO MUCH?!
