FAIR WARNING!! I got this laptop since it was cheap and I just got a job hoping for something somewhat decent. But this laptop is verrryyy slow, it has trouble opening chrome, changing settings, typing lag etc. When it finally loads something, it works okay until it has periods of freezing (esp if your doing anything remotely intensive) It takes 2 minutes of wait sometimes to just let the laptop warmup and let me finally click on something on my Home Screen. I HIGHLY suggest looking for something else, I’m usually optimistic and mindful of low budget tech but this one is a hard pass, I’d rather use my phone for daily browsing. Invest in something a bit better

They can always swap out the hard drive for an SSD and upgrade the RAM, as well as get rid of some unnecessary programs it makes a night-and-day difference

hey there, i got the same last year, but the keyboard is black with white lettering and it was called "Scarlet Red' i love it, i still have it. Lot slimmer than my previous. i never had a red laptop until i found it. :)

Was looking to upgrade my 10 year old HP laptop that I bought for 200 in 2013 but after reading the comments I will just hang with mine for another year. I only use my laptop to file my taxes and maybe visit a website or two. I don’t even have home internet and when I use my laptop I use my mobile hotspot. I mainly just use my phone for everything now.

Very slow because it has a spinning hard drive not an ssd. We upgraded it to 8Gb and an nvme (yes it has an nvme slot believe or not) any it boots in 30 seconds.

I made mine even faster by installing Linux instead of using windows. Upgraded ram and nvme and using Linux. Alot less hardware intensive OS.

you can do that with many laptops, people usually are picky because they worry about if the laptop can run games or hold enough storage.

The only way this laptop would be okay for that is to change to an SSD and change the operating system. My friend had one of these and was going to throw it away. I put in an nvme m.2 ssd. Upgraded the ram and installed Linux pop_os! Operating system. Now it's a usable laptop. But just changing the operating system to Linux without any upgrades makes the laptop much more usable instead of using windows.

I dont own this laptop. so i dont know the info. but i noticed people have been stating that its slow. the reason for that, has to do with its Processor, (under system info) look up Processor, that GHz# should be atleast 3.00 Ghz, or higher. and Ram should be 8gb or more. The processor is the main thing that helps run the pc/laptop smoothly. anything 2.00 or less is gonna run slow or laggy.

@@candace8217 on this laptop, i doubt it!, however the ram and hard drive are upgradeable. ram could be upgraded 8gb, 16gb, 32gb and so on. (depending on your pc spec..) and the hard drive could be upgraded, i would say 500-1tb is good enough.unless you're a gamer or such who needs lots of space.

@@MaybeRival I winded up buying the HP red laptop . And upgrades the memory. I didn't get to upgrade the SSD cause I thought the one I had would fit but it didnt. But yeah. I did it myself. It was fairly easy.

You have 14 days to return any electronic devices with receipt to Walmart if I was you pack it and take it back and get the same one and I will try to turn it on in the car right there in Walmart parking lot just in case.

@@kenji__ the thing is idk how you can upgrade a laptop's ram because it's like more compacted within the laptop than a PC. So honestly idk how that would work upgrading the ram for it but some people have suggested to me alot to get a graphics card and ssd card to improve its performance

if your thinking of buying one of these **BE WARNED**: at first it may run slightly fast but over time it ages like spoiled milk, dont try to run any games on this (even roblox) this is possibly the worst laptop you can get for 300-400 dollars.The processor reaches speeds of 3.4 ghz but i see that i havent been able to reach nearly as fast as speeds after a few months of usage. Dont be fooled, there are better computers that will last longer..however if your interested in strictly work related things (completely simple tasks then this is for you)

I am able to play runescape on this. Much it won't handle much more than that. I upgraded to an SSD, added more ram and installed Linux popos on it. Now it's a nice little basic machine.

I have the same laptop but it's screen is glitching, I tried factory resetting it to see if it had anything to do with that and it didn't fix it, do you know what I could do to fix it?

this was the first laptop i ever bought, good price laptop definitely not for gaming. 4gb ram is good for streaming and browsing but not the best for multitasking. i put in a 1tb ssd drive and 20gb ram to see if it would run games but no the intel pentium integrated graphics are not good for 3D gaming if u want a low price laptop that can game look for a intel core series is a little bit higher in price but it will give you minimal requirements met for games like dark souls.

Upgrade it to an ssd. Maybe toss in another 4GB of ram. I'd also suggest using a Linux OS. I'm running pop_os on mine and it's made it a usable machine now.
