Hi Brandon, thanks for the video. Please tell people to remove the orange strip (tape) and then take out the orange holder. You made it look so easy, but if I had not removed that tape first I could not have removed the orange holder. Thanks again for your video overall it was very helpful. Enjoy your day.

I have just purchased a HP5106, unfortunately it is delayed, hence I was searching for information. It appears that the 5106 is the 5101 just made for Europe and has a Blue lid, so everything here in your video is applicable. I wasted ages looking for 5106 on KZfaq. I like that it has a large Black Ink supply because so much of it gets used in colour printing (not many people know that). I noticed that your print of the Mexican site differed in colour from the original photo shown side by side, such differences are to be expected. I am going to calibrate my printer if and when it finally arrives from 'Currys UK' ! :-)

I used to work with dye sub ID card printers and spent many frustrating hours salving peoples complaints about colour. I got it down to a fine art but there is no pleasing everyone. So ICC profiling is just a hobby now. I would bust my brain designing algorithms that would 'scientifically' necessitate the production of 'true' colour but a simple 'nahhh' from the marketting guys would toss it all into the bin due to their subjectivity. I gave up in the end and just let them take a vote amongst themselves. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. I'll make a profile and utilise it with Windows, see how it looks sorta thing? I enjoyed your presentatation, hence my waffling :-)

@@BestPrinters To explain: Imagine you want to print a colour in CMYK of (133, 50, 64, 0) then utilising the K better you can get the same result with (83, 0, 14, 50). 50 units of black ink saves 150 units of colour ink. I don't know if HP is actually using this reality on this printer but that is what it means.

Does the HP Smart Tank 5000 Printer have pretty much the same features as the 5101? If not what are the differences? I'm pretty much just looking to be able to scan doc's into my computer. Thanks

Hey, can you recommend a budget friendly printer for someone that does roughly 10-20 pages a week in black and white and probably 5 pages a week in colour. Hoping that I can get something with an eco tank rather than the cartridge system because of the cost of ink. Was looking at the canon g3260 but I’m open for your recommendations and affiliate links

Hello! I just got this printer and set it up. Just today, I was printing some freebies that are set up to print two copies. It prints the first page fine, but it does not print the second page. It wants to, but it stops mid or at the start of the image. I'm very frustrated! It had printed the test page fine!

I just bought it and had trouble with it. Wasn’t working with the wifi so i did direct connect with my phone and it only print one time and didn’t wan to work anymore. Spend 3 hrs with customer support and didn’t resolve the issue. Now returning it back to Best Buy

I can't get the placeholder for the printheads to come out of the side of the interior of the printers! It makes terrible sounds when I think it is trying to move. 😬 How do I deal with that?

nobody answer that. Actually all the printers are almost the same on the printer settings, BUT no all of them support 300 grms for example.

Only when you first buy it, if you do it later it is possible buy you need to go through a conversion process.

If you mean Sublimation. Then I think only Epson can actually do Sublimation due to the printer injection technology being piezo based as opposed to thermal which is what most printer ink injection systems are based on.

How can I set this printer up to use the hotspot. I currently don't have wifi in my house but i do have 50 gb per month of high speed hotspot wifi. Please help or point me to someone that can give me instructions. Thanks for your review of the hp 5101 printer. I just bought it.
