@@NorthridgeFix Hi NorthRidgeFix, I refreshed thermal paste on my laptop and after I did that the laptop wont turn on without the charger, the battery does not charge but the laptop does see that the battery Is connected and its still at 81%, do you know if Its an easy fix or if I have to send it in? If I do have to send it in do you do international shipping? And how much do you charge? Sorry for all these questions,I'm sure you have answered them before but I am new to your channel. (Few days).

Seeing these videos with trace repair work I did some searching to see if there was a way to secure these in a different way. I came across Electrically conductive PCB paint from everything iv seen they used this in place of the pads it looked like paste that you'd fill the ripped traces with and you could solder to that. Is there any merit to suck a thing? I like your approach as it obviously works and is proven to work but I'm always looking to optimize how I do things or look for maybe a more efficient way. Love the videos as always 🙏

Nope. High risk and difficult replacement with a pulled part that you can't warranty and just cost you money when it comes back along with your reputation. This is before you even consider that the donor boards are so because they likely have the same issue.

Have to say, I think the current trend of USB-C, PD etc. is just asking for trouble. Fragile pins, risky pin assignment, fast charge higher voltages, all basically waiting to brick your device.
@brarautorepairs

PD is risky in the hands of consumers who jam in the wire and use poor quality chargers. The round pin has its own host or problems like ripping out of the socket when you trip over the wire or pull it off the desk.

I have a problem with an RX 570 graphics card mining version (I got scammed and I thought I was buying a regular version). When I tried to use it in windows, win10 recognized it and installed the drivers but it cant mine because windows wasnt initiating the device properly. When I moved to HiveOS (Linux), I was able to mine with it but there is a constant memory access error and it appears that the device mining capabilities are halved. I was thinking on buying a damaged card and replace memories. But since I have almost zero electronical repairing experience and I live in Poland. -Could you refer me to somebody around here? -How much should I paid for the repair if I find somebody brave enough to do the job? -Would it be too hard to repair it by myself?, more from the economical perspective (since I already resigned myself to the loss of my money), I was aiming to actually learn something besides "do not buy stuff using google translation".

Dead CPU, well the new (10years more or less) are connected directly to the USB ports. The data lines of USB pass a chip and then go to the PCH (inside CPU) in old the go usb-chip-chipset-cpu (always chipset fried) So if you sorted a 20 volt direct to the PCH (0.8/1v) is dead end. Is other form of planned obsolescence they can put a USBC port only for charge no data.

Got some DDR4 chips and chargers, hdd/ssds out of them though that's all they are good for. Do these laptops need some kind of fuses or protections for the new USB-C technology? Seems like the companies haven't really got that all figured out yet.
