Hi there. My mom got screwed royally! She bought an HP touch Screen and the screen never worked. Because she took it out of the country her warranty is void. The problem is, that it turns on but it has never responded to her touch. So we have been stuck at the choose language screen. It also does not respond to the usb connection because of this. Do you think if I purchase the new screen digitizer that it may work?

Try a hard reset. Hold power+vol up+back keys together for about 15 seconds and see if that works.

Leave it on the charger over night and then try powering it on. I have seen this work before. A new battery may do the trick.

What if I did let it charge for 24hrs. and all that shows up is a pic of a battery with a question mark?? That all it is doing now...wont recharge...just shows the pic of a battery with the question mark? Do you know what that is...do I need to replace a battery in it?? thanks.

Any tips for working the clips on this? I've opened up a few electronic devices with similar assembly, namely iPods and some cell phones, but after an hour with this, I can't seem to get these damn clips to unclip for me. I can feel and kinda see them, so I know I'm in the right spot. I have pry tools and in desperation with other devices I've used xacto razors successfully, but I'm not sure if there's a trick to these ones. leave it in there for awhile. I ran mine down real good once. I tried charging it, seemed nothing was happening. Then after a while, it slowly came back to life and then fully charged. Let it charge for several hours, then check on it if I were you.

In a way. yes.. You physically Remove the battery and trickle charge it out of the Touchpad.. Then replace into the Device and assemble the unit. Then do a hard restart with the Power and the Bottom button for 15 to 20 seconds.. Hopefully you have fixed it.. Computer Chronicles 2.0

Make sure you've got a legit HP Touchpad charger - I ran into the same problem, found out that most generic chargers don't push enough current. Also, keep in mind that the charger unscrews - make sure it's properly screwed together and is charging another device, like a cell phone, then try the sleep death troubleshooting.

on your hp doby try chargeing it at a angle use a book to suport the charger hp touchpads worst problem with their tablets is that the charger dock breaks if you can follow this vid and look for bends if that doesnt work call RepairsUniverse (im haveing the same problem)

Hi my HP touchpad has died I don't know what happened... I have the charging dock and it isn't charging I also have a regular USB charger and that isn't working... Not lights are flashing it's just not coming on what should I do or what could be the problem??? Bad battery maybe???

I've charge this for 24hrs, try hard resetting it, I know the AC adapter works as it works fine on another tablet or phone. What else can it be? I have not dropped the tablet or anything, one day it worked, the next it didn't.
