Sir, are you sure you understand the midtank lean? Have you solved it if so would luv a before and after video. Cant just get another tank and put it in the rear. Maybe a follow up describing why it is an issue is in order? This will allow everyone to understand why its a problem. Your intentions are good here but seems like you are simnply repeating things you have heard/read about. Pls consider a part 2

David VonVille Not needed. Kind of one of those if you don't know what it is, nor why it's needed...then not needed ;-) Trust me. The gentleman who created this video is not very adept (at the time) with his Savage. Most of it was what he'd been told. I do "stoppies" any time I want, and could set his to do them in less than five seconds. One problem with the Savage is most everything that is said is 'hearsay'. It's okay though...his intentions are good, but if anyone disagrees with me about the throttle mod being needed, let me know.

I would love to see this video of a stock savage out of the box doing stoppies.....I have had 3 and I haven't been able to do this yet without my upgrade to the throttle and brake linkages...but thank you for the feedback :)

+morgan millett +morgan millett I'm late to this reply but hell yeah I'll show you the stock linkage doing ANYTHING you might think it can't but some other form of linkage can. I mean just to say it. The linkage has nothing. Zero. Nada to do with links. Braking power. What else would make these stoppies hard in your opinion. I'll even downgrade the throttle servo from the stock one. This I my point. You can sit up here and say m this that's fine but that doesn't mean you are even close to being correct. I imagine you know much more about the Savage than I ever will. But o don't bump my gums an make claims that aren't true as you allude. So you are welcome goth e feedback I have a LOT MORE on pretty much everything you said but not my jntent. But if you want to get pissy simply because I'm Telling my experience just handle it okay when I SHOW it as remember: you asked to see it.

I agree my friend...but u can tune out of the box I was explaining what u can do to get a little more power out of your nitro truck by adding a few Low priced parts...exhaust always helps..I like to take out the baffling and that helps a tiny bit but these pipes are junk ;) thank u for your input

+morgan millett yeah. I understand. :-) going.m back to my point about glow plugs I doubt anyone would. Notice there engine running better with a n RS4 an A6. (Just an example). The only ones that would are those who are extremely adept with race tuning and even then it's debatable.

It's not dependent on any part that is better bits dependent on parts working together and working properly. So take a crap engine, crap pipe, and crap clutch. You can get it tuned still both e tune might be crap. So new parts to someone who can't tune with stock won't add any value at all. Not IMO at least. But as stated I. Like your vid and the fact you are open to helping people. Just setting some expectations is all. Apologies if it was misunderstood. The pipes BTw the issue is they are components and the couplings get raw fuel around it they come loose etc. Eliminating that will obviously make a tuned engine more powerful (but it has to be tuned). I recommend the 053, 086, or 2058 for the F4.6. Again though this is with the assumption it's tuned as if not tuned no o e piece will tune it. Maintenance of engine will do more for it than anything. changing the beatings etc

+morgan millett finally I have three of those engines. The front bearings on two of them went out within a gallon. Check those. Unsure if it's the new crank case design or what. Keep the Vids coming. We need more people doing f nitro vids

That is just straight up wrong bud I highly suggest u do some research on plugs and different heat ranges

@@samsterstormhobbies Some similarities to a Diesel engine and it’s glow plugs. Factors like nitro content , whether or not the engine is broke-in and even ambient temperature affect what heat range would be best. My savage does not have a coil on it or a coil wire going to the plug maybe yours does but

Sorry I got them for the MGT and I have not had the tires for along time...I can't seem to remember the name but I will find out sir..

the linkage is free ...most people in the hobby have a spare tank kicking around ...and some fuel tubing....and the pipe ...yeah its not free but u can take the baffle out and grind out the thick parts in the pipe itself to get a little more performance from the stalk pipe ...now glow plugs are a couple bucks ...so I should change it to cheap to free upgrades ...sorry you are displeased with the vid

It's misleading and the content is incorrect. Brakes work find on the savage. Glow plugs don't give an engine extra power. At all. They are used for specific variables. Same with exhaust. He just says to get a tuned pipe but no recommendation. Pipes are designed for specific engines and you can actually decrease performance if you get the wrong pipe. There's a video series out there that dispels all the myths people are saying. Forget the title but search for Savage myths or Savage rumors you'll find it. Clear as mud the guy destroys this crap. Dont wanna be negative or disrespect this guy but he is the one who put up this video
