It's impressive that Einar's taught himself this language. Many foreigners may think that this is a language that Norwegians understand, but it's not similar to Norwegian. It's just a few words here and there you can understand by just understanding Norwegian.

That's kind of an ironic statement, given Norse faith and views. Everything must end, so that there may be beginnings. All endings lead into new beginnings. Everything is circular in it's nature, balanced and perfect. Even after Ragnarok, there was not an end to all life or the end of the world. Simply the death of the Norse Pantheon, and a rise of others to replace them, who carry their tales and stories into the new world as they rebuild for themselves. Much as Odin and his brothers did after the fall of their Father and Grandfather. By the belief system they sing about and seem to hold, they likely fully expect to be replaced and accept it as the eventual reality of life, as generations and "worlds" change. Life was not a straight line. Rather, it was a circle. What changed in the circle was the names of those who lived and influenced it, shaped it, during their time in the circle.

Again, Einar shows us that he is a messenger of Gods! :) Joking aside, Einar Selvik created another astonishing master piece. Whenever i listen to Wardruna, i find myself in awe, i am not Norwegian nor Icelandic but i listen to these songs in some type of trance/happiness. There is no other artist or band who can touch my soul like this. This is the beauty of Wardruna. Regardless of your nation he makes you feel at home! I cant be the only one who has those incredible feelings which make you dance, meditate, feel like a warrior, happy lie a little kid all at the same time! I feel all those even though i am not Nordic... This is pure talent, fascinating form of art. There is no other explanation! Congrats Einar!

English IS a Germanic language and looks / sounds like a Germanic language, and looks / sounds nada like Greek, pfff, and only Germanic languages can be so perfect and logical, like Dutch & English which are the prettiest and most refined languages ever with the most pretty words etc - also, Greek and most other European languages, including all Germanic languages and Celtic languages and Latin languages etc all come from the same language Proto European, anyway, and most words have always been in each new language that a certain dude created or modified, so it doesn’t mean that a word came from Greek or whatever, most base words were always in each new languages that was created from Proto European and from other languages that come from Proto European, and most languages that come from Proto European are pretty languages that were improved more and more, with each new modifying, while others were made into a non-pretty language, because not every dude that creates or modifies words and languages has such artistic talents and a logical mind, so very few dudes can create pretty words with great letter combinations and pretty word endings and pretty diphthongs etc, which is a true art, so the properly modified languages that come from Proto European are pretty, and they had a strong base, as the first words created in Proto European were nice enough for that time, but with Greek languages they became non-pretty, and then with Celtic languages and Germanic languages and the true Latin languages, they become pretty and better than ever before, as the dudes that modified those languages had a lot of talent for that time, especially the dude that created Old Norse, which is even more refined and easier to read than Modern Icelandic, so he had a lot of talent and a really good eye / ear for prettiness and harmonies, especially considering how ancient it is!

Im so happy that this game is coming out, not only does it capture more of the "real" side of vikings and not some stereotypical "Pointed helmet heathen". I hope Wardruna is used for most of the game because I will never stop playing it.

this is my go-to song for ACV Combat, the fighting, the raiding, the glory to be had, it brings me to my Nordic Ancestors when they fought, when they killed, when they died in Combat. its a feeling i cant put into words. so i say Skol Skald, may your stories of our Ancestors be sang by the Gods of the Aseir, and may they become of Legends. My your stories teach the new of the old.

I stumbled upon Wardruna after the TV-show VIKINGS, and I fell in love with the sound instantly.. As a Dane i feel that Wardruna reignites the glory of my heritage and gives a reminder about the power that this cuntry was once build upon..
