I love the lack of billboarding on Tisas pistol. Simple and clean looking.

People see the 1911 as being old and antiquated, but it can now be had in any pistol caliber, weight, capacity, and size. The old girl can still hold her own against polymer guns.

This was a well-produced by a pleasant, perfectly articulate reviewer; no filler words or slang.

Excellent presentation. I have dabbled with more costly 2011s so these might be really impressive. The Stingrays are very good, better in fit & finish than I expected.

It’s great to see companies like Tisas coming out with double stack 1911’s that the average person can afford. I was at a gun show today and got to hold a Tisas 1911 stingray on 45acp, now I really want one 👍

$800 for a 2011 style pistol is outstanding. Ran flawless compared to the Springfield Prodigy or the new Girsan. Slap a red dot on it and see how it does.

I agree with your final thoughts; this handgun is a departure from the norm. In my range time, I shoot four different 1911s. And I still need time to adjust between them, even after several thousands of rounds through them. If you should maintain possession of the Tisas DS long enough to get at least a few hundred rounds through it, another shooting test might be indicated. As always, thank you for the review! Nice tack drive. I never had any interest in the 2011 either until Tisas came out with these. The price is right and Tisas makes great pistols

Change is good in gun technology , good pistol for the price in the 2011 world

I am 6 ft. 5 in. tall and have large hands that can palm basketballs, so I really like that this gun has a slightly wider grip. I know a lot of people have a problem with Turkish guns but I don't. The Turks have been making guns for hundreds of years. This looks like they've gotten a whole lot of things right. The Glock-cut rear sight, the optics capability, the rail, the beavertail grip safety, the thumb safety, everything. Fantastic review! Thank you so much for this! ❤👍👌

Getting acclimated to the trigger can take some time. Even with nice triggers.

Nice review, Chief! I think your analysis is spot on. I had a similar experience when I transitioned to a Staccato; it felt the same, but different. I couldn't change the grip width, but I did change my trigger finger placement and ended up w/better placed & tighter groups. An optic fine tuned it even further. 👍👍
