I never ever thought that a movie of this caliber and magnitude and visually flawless could be made in Bollywood or even in Indian cinema regarding jets and airforce in particular. And the lead cast specially Anil Kapoor Sir & Hrithik did a fab fab job. Even Deepika to much extent and the rest supporting cast was good too.

@@user-rk7pl7fm3h Nope, this was just pure laziness on directors part to do proper research and build some level of authenticity on proper tactics and procedures. Operation Valentine is a far better rendition of Fighter and it is possible to make good movies. take RRR for example!

Couldn't watch the film in theatres since it was banned in Gulf. Finally watched it. It was nothing like Top Gun but was awesome. Shame that our audience couldn't see past their own preconceived notions. The marketing of the film wasn't good enough either. Nevertheless, this was an awesome movie. It made 300 cr+ overall in the end. Hrithik in particular was simply awesome.

The problem was that all indian army movies had only one plot, india vs pakistan. this has been seen by the people always and became clishe. if it had another plot, it would had easily bacame an blockbuster.

@@azfarfaisn5622 rivalries shown in movies are not the important aspect of a plot. Pakistan has been an eternal enemy. What matters in a plot is sequence of events and character development, which this movie had. It also differentiated between civilians and terrorist.

A Big difference. Which is also what the movie is saying, that India's fight is against terrorism. Not religion, or citizens of that country.

Haters saying Fighter movie is copy of a Hollywood movie Top Gun needs to understand that before trolling compare the budget of both movies, then know about the content like Aircraft jets have different maneuver to perform stunts in the skies which looks similar in both movies because it's not copied but some scenes are inspired even makers confirmed it. Why can't you guys appreciate the movie and the artists whose efforts make movie like this amazing, there hardwork and love towards the art needs to be respected otherwise they will be discouraged completely and may not come forward to make movies like this in the future. Myself a South Indian, I feel sad for the prejudice and biasness this movie faced from the audience, especially from South. Irony is, these days South movies are repetitive, forgettable & disposable, however they are recieved better anyway indiffrent of its quality. "Hype" really works, but not sure for how much long. Just make it part of an established franchise, rope in big actors, or slap the name of a God on it, it works seamelessly. Plus the privilege of being South. Major directors from South seems to be slient on this movie as they can't compete with the technical quality showcased by this movie at such a low budget. (underwhelming Operation Valentine must be a factor too). Hate and abolishing the movie is not the answer to competition. It seems petty & silly. Kudos to Bollywood on this one. This movie worked well in overseas markets.

@@rajasekaransundaramravi288 Irony is some cockpit shots in Operation Valentine were ditto copy of TopGun Maverick while Fighter took an entirely different & inventive approach for presenting those cockpit scenes. If anything the real blame for copying, that too in an inferior way should be put on Operation Valentine. There is a reason why Fighter worked in overseas markets, while the Operation Valentine was done & dusted within in a even in India itself.

It's the little details that matter. His cobra maneuver was well done. I wouldn't say it was perfect, but it was well done nonetheless. What bugs me is that they don't show the effects of shifting gravity to these fighter jet pilots. The pilots look cool and relaxed. That's not how it is in real life. I know someone might say, “Dude, it's a movie” and to them I say, “So is Top Gun.” It's the little details that matter. Once Bollywood understands this, it'll be unstoppable.
