i have hairspray shake and shimmy edition. there is a lot of commentary during talking and it said that the only person who took only one take on u cant stop the beat was queen latifah. the rest called it u cant stop 2 breath lol. also, it is a gospel choir singing the background (the ones dancing are just dancers). just telling u.

Isobel E you should watch Grease 2. It’s a terrible movie, but it’s one of those movies that’s so bad, it’s actually kind of good. Michelle stars in that movie and sings, which is why think it’s funny that John and Michelle were in this together since he was the star of the original Grease.
