Wow the mic difference is insane between the two! I'm personally not a big fan of the design of the H6PRO and, since they are more expensive, I think I'll stick with picking up the HS80. Great video, very informative!

I have the Corsair HS80 wireless and out the box they are not impressive at all. What brings them alive is Dolby Atmos with a custom EQ. They sound absolutely killer after doing this along with velour / leather ear pads. Night and day difference in sound.

Which wired headset would you recommend for predominantly PC (and XBox very rarely so not a deal breaker) at below Australian prices right now: (a) EPOS H6PRO at $186AUD; or (b) Razer BlackShark V2 at $89AUD (the V2 X version at $67AUD); or (c) Corsair HS80 RGB USB at $$113AUD; or (d) CORSAIR HS65 at $99AUD? If going wireles, what would you choose over (i) CORSAIR HS80 RGB Wireless Premium at $195AUD; or (ii) Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless at $149AUD; or (ii) Razer Barracuda X (2021 model) at $100AUD or (2022 model) bluetooth version at $164. The reason I pick H6PRO, is because I’ve used the headsets on your list, and the H6PRO was better than them all. But sound and comfort are subjective.

Thank you so much for your videos! how about arctis nova pro？I wonder who‘s better between h6pro with schiit hel2(my headset combo rn) and arctis nova pro. I think the wireless idea of two batteries replacement sounds great from nova pro wireless.

The two battery system is a favourite of mine for wireless. I used that on my old Steelseries Arctis Wireless. I’ve never used the Nova Pro - having said that I would still bet on H6PRO. I have no plans to compare Steelseries headsets, until I hear of something worth looking at.

I've seen a few comments about the hs80 stating that it creates problems for larger heads. that the tape does not provide sufficient distance do you know anything about that

I've never worn a headset for 8-hours straight. When I play online, it's usually for upto 2-hours. Both headsets were comfortable for me for that duration.

Does the HS80 USB headset come with a USB-A to USB-C adapter? Does the HS80 USB headset work with (Android) smartphones using such an adapter?

If you don’t like the H6PRO mic, then try the HS80 mic or V-Moda BoomPro on selected headsets.

Have you tested it with Android phones (by using OTG cable)? If it does, is the mic working as well?

No. I don’t test headsets on Android phones. I test them on PlayStations and PC.

Both works just fine. I'm actually plugged in that way right now to make sure I wasn't tripping. The USB dongle can go into a otg cable and then it's just like it's on PC. Sound is good too. Wouldn't plug it straight in though. That might make things lower than it should be (have not tested that though) Hold on, that is for the wireless version of the headset, of which I recommend heavily if you want the hs80. I haven't tested the wired version of them so im not 100 percent sure there. I would guess, not needing a dongle, it may. But, being wired, there may be a power req so do research like always.

Btw, regarding the Corsair hs80, do you hear some static noise with thiss headphones? When the volume is loud? Like white noise

I have the wireless version, and with the Icue software, when I Turn up the volume up in windows, if I play for example One KZfaq video like "50hz frequency", I hear mostly white noise

Don`t know if it is still relevant, but try turning off RGB light. Had the same problem, worked for me

If I was in your situation, I would choose the Corsair - assuming the headset is being used for PC only.

I would start with the Corsair HS80. If it doesn’t suit your needs then move on to the Nova 3. Keep moving until you find the perfect headset for you.

I hear you bro. That sucks. They’re so many headsets, and there is no guarantee you’ll like any of them. My top 3 headsets are H6PRO, TYGR 300R, and the HD 560S. I love the H6PRO; it’s the closet to perfection in a headset I’ve ever seen. Others love it too. Some hate it. We are all different. Try your best not to buy something you can’t return.

I would also stick to headsets made for specifically gaming as they seem to emphasize areas more important to gaming. Don't worry about soundstage worry more about imaging. Unless you got money to blow a lot of cash for your gaming experience you're limited to something like h6pro. If you got money to blow for games hd800s with a good amp/dac to power it you're looking at close to 2k usd.

You can clearly hear the Corsair HS80 mic is superior. Most people just use the out of box settings with these headsets and don't mess around with the EQ. I guarantee the way I got my Corsairs dialed in they sound better than those H6PRO by a long shot. Dolby Atmos with custom EQ bring them alive.

On PC, HS80 RGB USB. On PS5, Blackshark v2. Reason: the HS80 USB doesn’t work properly on PS.

@@District.24 Hey man, just letting you know, I got a better price on h6pro on the last day of sale. HS80 USB was out of stock and HS80 wireless was 119 euros,. H6pro closed back was 99 euros (156 for open back) so I sweeped that in instead.

I appreciate what you are doing, but as someone who have H6 pro open back, i would say great headset for gaming, but awful for music. Muddy, bass interfere too much with mids, there is no descent EQ setting for Epos h6 pro, i equalize by ear, but still not happy for music listening.

@@District.24 Yes, i watched video. I suppose they sound similiar, because of game tuning, but sound is very subjective category, so what's bad for me can be great for someone else. I love your videos, you are doing it nice and it is interesting to watch.
