Selama Ginting belum mampu mengurangi unforced errornya secara signifikan, tetap akan tidak mudah kalahkan Axelsen.

Ginting is good but there comes a point where top tier players require the grit to test their opponents weaknesses. Unfortunately, the record shows that although Gintinf has improved physically he hasn't even tested Axelsen even a bit. Commentator already noted that even the Chinese players had at least brought the game to Axelsen. Ginting has all the talent in the world but why he plays axelsen like it's his first time playing him is only a mystery. Dude has been in the game for a while...

Congrats to the champ ! He has played so dominate this year. I am sorry but Ginting had the wrong game plan. He should have taken a lesson from some other players that had success against the champ. Ginting has the tools to implement it but also needed to believe he could do it !

When you have higher fatigue + mental block + nervousness before starting your match it is tough to change strats or recompose. I wonder how long Axelsen is going to keep this peak form.

I can understand the commentators frustration about Gintings game plan, but even if he had performend like Kodai did in the SF he would still have lost in two sets today judging by the way Axelsen defended. The court wasn't slippery anymore and Axelsen moved far better than in the SF, which turned out to be the perfect training session for him.

Ya langsung dimakan itu sama viktor. main rally berharap lawan capek, sudah tdk guna. serang cepat malah terjadi di akhir2 game. Semoga kedepannya tdk terulang lagi permainan seperti ini. Di laga ini, Ginting kerap gagal "mencetak" poin. Selain krn akurasi pukulannya kurang terjaga dgn baik, juga krn bermainnya yg cenderung "mengangkat bola". Membuat Axelsen miliki cukup peluang utk bisa menyerang dgn pukulan smashnya yg tidak mudah ditangkis oleh Ginting. Bola lob dari Ginting juga bbrp kali jatuh di luar lapangan. Ginting bisa peroleh poin saat berhasil melakukan serangan pukulan smash atau jump smashnya. Juga ketika berhasil membuat serangan beruntun. Serangan dari gabungan permainan bola silang + permainan "panjang-pendek bola" yg diakhiri dgn sergapan cepat bola lawan di area depan. Melihat hasilnya, bermain dgn cenderung "mengangkat bola" adalah strategi yg kurang tepat utk hadapi Axelsen. Sebaliknya, bisa "memaksa" atau membuat Axelsen yg "mengangkat bola", yg kemudian mjd "umpan" bagi Ginting bisa menyerang dgn pukulan smashnya, adalah strategi yg lebih baik utk hadapi Axelsen. Dgn kata lain, strategi bermain yg cenderung "menyerang" adalah strategi yg lebih baik saat hadapi Axelsen. Diperlukan kemampuan bisa "mengatur" atau menjaga stamina dgn baik saat bermain dgn strategi yg cenderung "menyerang". Very nice match, both players are great, played at their capacity. However, very dirty commentary by a male commentator for Ginting. Very their class commentary, very sad to listen him. It is a game, it should remain a game. Out of two one has to be number one.

To fight back and better result, he must review his self and must study under Japanese player naraoka and Indian player prannoy. They have improved to get better result with Victor.

What a disaster final match. Where is the strategy and where is the adjustment -- the most important part in any sports. You are not a good player without skills, And you are not a great player without strategy. First, it happens that you adopt wrong stragegy, you simply cannot avoid it. However, why you dont change strategy when you realize your way wont work? Admit your strategious failure and ADJUST it immediately. Ginting simply plays the same style to any opponent. I am confirmed he and his coach dont prepare a plan B beforehand. Make yourself comfortable is good, you also need to make your opponent uncomfortable. Axelsen is super happy playing this style. There are so many much better strategies like what Naraoka or Prannoy.

goodness me terrible performance by ginting, just horrendous, like stein said He is just not investing enough, like Kodai did. I mean he didnt even use axelson's defeat to prannoy to his advantage nor did he try to use prannoy's or kodai's strategy to play vikor such as, flat push to the deep back corner, or not giving axelson opportunity to attack, he could've just dominated the net(which he is actually superb at doing) or used some deceptions . Ginting should've at least took a set. next time you play vikotr please dont do this again, so many unforced errors, just giving too much opportunities.
