The Citroen DS is easily one of the most iconic cars to come out of the French marque, and a long awaited debut for a Gran Turismo game, wherein it has been notably absent for the entire series thus far. But now in GT7 it is finally here, complete with modest price tag and plenty of lower tier PP tuning potential to boot! So let's dive into why I love that this car is finally in the GT lineup, and what it feels like in the game...

I like those classics. Just for driving them is a thrown back to my youth. Even the older cars 30s, 40s or 50s have something. It brings me to a car museum where I can try the experience that feeling. The Alsace circuit and the new circuit are perfect for cruising. If Citroën would bring the 2CV and SM it would not need more cars in the Citroën brand.

I'm not against the ds or any car they make really. But they need a bunch of fitting rivals and events. Gt7 would gain so much gamers if they made proper racing events. Iroc series, Imsa, dtm/btcc. Every track should have 10 events at least. Sunday cup should have a pp cap. Oh sorry I'm starting to rant here 😂 Well thanks for a great review. I bought already 4 of them, it’s just beautiful in so many different colors. And also made a rally build inspired by the actual rally specs I found so far, it’s really a lot of fun throwing it around on a rally track!

When GT7 introduce cars like this ..... the need of non - race tracks is more needed. This is a car you could race ofcourse and is used for rally.... , but in this configuration as a Pallas it is a roadcar ... a cruiser. And what purpose has that to do on a race track than just tune it into something it is not. We need 10, 15 or 20 km long roads on beautifull places. Curve roads for hothatches . Long curved roads for GT's ... High ways / Motorways and B - roads on 'exotic' places. Where you just can cruise or race if you want to or just take a moment on the side of the road and 'photograph' your car. Instead of the bland static photomodus where you can put things in.

Absolutely what I thought driving this car the first time! Grand Valley goes in the right direction when it comes to the scenery, but it’s still a race track. Some city tracks or some serpentines like on the Italian coast would be perfect.

As much as I love the idea of rule-free Vision cars, the lack of actual creativity in most of them does make me prefer real classics and legends coming back/to the series

In the past, I had a Xantia and BX, and my parents had a couple of CX's; and the drive in this game with the DS feels really like those excellent riding cars. The Xantia especially was great sharp through corners in a sereen comfortabel way. Of that era, only Mercedes like the w123 comes close to this comfort although less sharp (which is now my daily driver, but still adore the hydropneumatic Citroens) Great update,

I'm up for both types tbh. Yes, classics have charm but there's something about VGTs that appeals to me. I have over 6000 miles on my Alpine VGT for instance.

Helpful video thank you. As a DS owning older man that missed the whole gamebox system in its early prime, I bought Enthusia and a PS2 with wheel just to drive the DS (of my car's colour too) like a mad man. This was a couple of years ago so i've had some catching up to do. GT7 will be the trigger for my purchase of a PS5. It looks amazing. Enthusia had some gameplay issues for me but we cope right? Once I'd won the lottery for the DS, I stayed at the lower end of the race calender for ages! The car ingame could be adjusted a little to make it look/feel pretty familiar for handling etc. One thing I noted about GT7: the tyres squeal more than that in reality when pushing on a track day. As in the squealiest I've ever experienced. But predictable - so fang that thing hard. The best I managed for Nurburgring was I think about 13 minutes. Setting up for a line, 2 or 3 corners in advance is important in a DS.

You nailed this review, its the feeling and looks about this car which makes it special. I love to seen this piece of history taking a corner at full speed. BTW I hope you motorcycle finds a good home, it would be a same if someone ruined it

Seeying thatnthey added this car, l think they might add VW Karmann Ghia in the future, since it's in a similar position of being just historically import, mostly to its brand. Rather than high performance

No modern porsches, audi, bmw, amg, honda, or ferraris. Seriously who cares about these kinds of cars. 1 update every other month with no really good cars.

Lots of us do actually. I know for certain I don't give a shit about modern supercars. Fuck McLaren 720S or Lamborghini Centinarios. Dodge Omni GLHS and Mercedes E55 W210 is where it's at.

Don't know why gt fans like these random ahh economy cars. This is a racing game, not a time capsule to the 70s. I do love old racecars from the 50s and 60s, but those have some meaning, they made history back in their day. But this is an economy car, the only interesting thing about it is the suspension. And it's ugly af imo. But again, this is a racing game, not a cruising simulator. What about new g series bmws, new ferraris and new racecars? The 458 gt3 is more than 10 years old, wtf are they even doing there at pd?
