I've seen a bunch of comments saying things like "whoever did this to the dogs should be forced to spend the rest of there lives in a cage so they know what it feels like" or "the evil farmer should rot in h*ll" but try to keep in mind that the farmer probably did not want to be a dog meat farmer. They were probably poor and just desperate for any job that would sustain them with enough money to put food on the table every night to feed their families and get an education. Anyone can do terrible things when pushed to the brink of death, and poverty makes people desperate. They most likely did not do this with any malicious intent, they just needed the money and food. Try to imagine walking in their shoes. I hope and pray that the Humane Society introduced them to humane jobs and farming techniques so the owner could still earn money, instead of just taking the dogs that were their livelyhood and kicking them to the curb. I do not condone animal cruelty in any way, shape, or form, but please think before you comment. I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but think how bad the farmer must be feeling right now. Try to open your eyes not to just animal suffering, but to humans as well.

I understand that some animal cruelty is people in circumstances beyond their control and when I say these things I wouldn't really wish them on anyone. I mean I get bored sitting in my room, I can't imagine spending my whole life in a tiny cage. And I applaud you for saying something. I think when people comment these things it's out of anger to those who are capable of a different and more humane job. I am subscribed to a lot of animal channels and have seen a lot of this stuff lately and I think when you say maybe the farmer didn't want to be a dog meat farmer that's could be true but it also could be he's doing this without a care for the animals, I said that because it makes very angry to see people do this for their own gain. Joe Weider Why would you say that chickens don't have brains? Chickens are actually very intellegent creatures, just as dogs and cats. Do a quick google search and you will see that for yourself. Chickens and other animals also have the capacity to feel just as cats and dogs. We have been brainwashed from birth to believe that some how dogs and cats are different than cows, sheep, pigs, turkeys or chickens, yet they can all be loving and feel pain just the same. Cows for instance cry when they have their calves taken from them, it is very hard on them - just as it would be for a human. The idea that some how farm animals are dumb or less than is an idea that the meat and dairy industries have embedded into our culture for so long that most never second guess it. Luckily more and more people are going vegan. Animals are here with us, not for us.

Just to let you know that there's actual footage of people beating up and poking (with a pitchfork) mother and baby cows in dairy farms. Pigs literally get their teeth and testicles yanked out at birth, so they don't fight with each other and harm themselves, or rather, their meat, since that's what the industries care about selling. Chickens are routinely starved, to shock their body into making more eggs, and baby male chicks are literally tossed into blenders because the industry doesn't care for them. Cows are hanged upside down and have their throats slit and get their limbs cut off, often while still being conscious. A "humane" method to kill pigs is to put them in gas chambers, where they burn from the inside out. So, I hope when people say that they're against this kind of treatment towards animals, that they don't support the meat, dairy, and egg industries.

I think it feels "easier" for many to acknowledge and fight the mistreatment of other cultures than to acknowledge and fight the mistreatment that exists within our own. So many people close their eyes to the malpractices going on in dairy and meat farms and continue to condone the level of downright torture against the farm animals "we" deem edible and, unfortunately, by extension mistreatable. I'm so happy to see rescues like these and I think they are so very important, I don't want to refute that, but I also, like you say, hope that people start using this same kind of passion to fight for the rights of our farm animals and stop contributing to dairy and meat industries in the Western world as they exist today - having become absolute torture machines on scales so much larger and more abhorrent than most are willing to admit. Blissful and willful ignorance within the Western world are allowing this torture to persist. I've seen many who say they hate countries like China and South Korea for their dog meat industries. I, personally, am beyond ashamed of my own European country and the incredible animal abuse it still allows through its dairy and meat industries. There exists no argument on Earth that could make it right, and it's baffling that it still persists so strongly today when humans don't even need that level of meat, when it contributes to not only these animals' destruction, our own destruction (I'm willing to bet that the amount of meat intake within the Western world has contributed greatly to heart & vascular disease still being the number one cause of death), but also the destruction of our entire planet. There is nothing anyone could say that makes our dairy and farm industries as they exist today right, and it absolutely breaks my heart to think about the amount of animals that suffer daily, hourly, every second, to such great extent us humans could not even imagine, for absolutely no reason at all. I guess the whole gist of this is that while I'm so glad to see the rescues of these poor dogs in South Korea, while it breaks my heart to see them in conditions like these, I also just really wish that our own farm animals were not forgotten.

But understand that cats have 2nd-class status, and you'll have to really work to get help. DO NOT give up. It's the only way you'll make any changes for those cats.

in the UK animals suffer at the hands of humans,they starve them because they can't afford to feed them,they suffer with all types of illness because these owners can't afford treatment,all I say is there is no excuse for any kind of cruelty,we have the RSPCA,if you cannot look after your pets give them up to the RSPCA,one simple phonecall,the point i'm making is if these cats are suffering and you otterwhisker are worried,call one of the animal organisations in the area you are in,don't comment about them on here hoping someone from an animal organisation will see it and take action,no offence intended but the ball is in your court,do something yourself

Cows and pigs usually have some room to roam free. I agree on the chickens though, that's absolute madness having them in cages all day. I do think more needs to be done to keep cows and pigs warm during the winter. They really need to step up the regulations.

Of course, you both are right. I am enjoying, that each day more and more people around the world won' t eat meat any more. I am vegetarian, too. I love animals, can' t eat them. I don' t know, how people can eat children of animals. Imagine it would be otherwise: animals would eat children of humen. What will be? Each mother will fight for her child, will save it. Animal mothers ( cows, sheep, pigs..... etca. ) can' t do this. They have not this chance. They feel the same broken heart, pain, like humen mothers, which love their children and would lost them.

Just for this video, since it's a dog farm, yes dogs are in the spotlight. I love ALL animals as well...and I am certain cats are also in videos like this. Don't worry...looks like the Humane Society saves all types of animals :)

My comment is - I contacted a few associations that rescue dogs from places like this - they were asking for donations, and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be the same concern about the alternative meat source if dogs go away. And as far as I can tell there are no videos about cat meat farms/markets. Or cat fur used for coats and toys. So I do try to remind people, even if I offend unintentionally, that cats suffer the same fate as dogs, but are pretty much ignored. Even by the HSUS - I already had contact with them, too. I'm an Animal Lover, and believe we should stop all animal abuse. I can see you're the same way - so never stop caring

It's not about making people go vegan, it's about educating people on the truth. Groups like PETA and the human society have begun showing the world the truth about how horrible and horrific the meat and dairy industries are. After being woken up to the truth, looking at meat is never the same.

Pigs are as intelligent as dogs, and as domestic. The way they are treated should be criminal. We can't make people be vegan, but we can push to have legislation passed that require that they be treated humanely.

There are no animal welfare laws in these places the comparison between these dogs and American livestock is retarded. The worst most unethical slaughter houses and farms in America are a dream compared to the suffering these dogs go through.

Cows and chickens n shit aren't domesticated or companions, most of their purposes in life is to be killed and eaten. That's not the same with dogs, they're not apart of the human food chain. Plus humans have been eating meat for centuries, don't expect change on what happens to cattle nowadays.

Sharice Karl the human society is a rescue, so these dogs will get adopted out. Stores that sell dogs (although a tiny few can get them from rescues) usually get their dogs through breeders (not good, especially if it's a back yard breeder - inbreeding), or from a puppy mill (a horrific place as bad as this or worse, that just breeds dogs over and over only to sell their puppies). Adopting from a shelter or rescue is always best for you and the animal involved :)

@@EmilyRhinier breeding should be illegal in all states, they should only be able to sell dogs from shelters. Atleast until the shelters are empty. Afterwards they can look at breeding again, but there should major regulations, like only 2 litters before being spayed.
