Sometimes I just wish Dragons: Race to the Edge could be more involved in the movie series since that is where hiccup cannonically 1. Invents the flight suit 2. Creates the fire sword 3. Finds out about dragon hunters So, I honestly think some of the characters from that series should've shown up sometime in the movie, even in the background or something.

I wish that too! But I don’t see it happening. Simply put, if they did make the TV series more involved in the movies, it would open up a lot of plotholes and such other problems for the series. Here’s some examples: - At the end of the 3rd movie, Hiccup says the world belives dragons are completly gone-even though there are many more dragons in the world than just on Berk; like Caldera Cay, the Wingmaidens, and Berserker Island. It’s never addressed what became of those dragons. - According to the 3rd movie’s epilogue, it only takes a decade for the rest of the world to doubt if dragons even existed. That’s completly ludicrous. Many Vikings, like hunters, are shown to own dragon skins, skulls, bones. There is also plenty of written information that prove dragons exist. - A lot of dragon species introduced in the TV series have zero mention or even nods in the movies, so that makes it really annoying to figure out if they’re canon in the movie-verse or not. Basically, I’ve been told that most find it much easier for the sake of plotholes to just dismiss ROB, DOB, and RTTE as non-canon, so it won’t mess with the established ending. Is it frustrating? Heck yes, and what makes it even worse is that THIS explanation doesn’t even work either. Why? The Fireworm! Fireworms were FIRST introduced in Riders of Berk, and they appear in the Hidden World. Sounds like a small oversight, but this throws the canon out of wack. Since Fireworms are in the movie verse, are the TV series canon or not? I’ve been driving myself mad trying to figure this out since the 3rd movie came out! Sorry for writing a novel, haha.

I forget Hiccup’s the chief sometimes bc he seems to have a nonchalant mindset most of the time, but then I remember his nonchalant but accepting attitude towards issues in this movie is why he was chosen by his father in the first place. If Hiccup never began a friendship with Toothless, nothing would have changed and he would never learn how to inspire change, find a better way of living, or be a strong leader worthy of his community. He probably wouldn’t have been picked to be the new chief if his best friend never flew into his life. Like he said in the movie Toothless didn’t give him his bravery and strength he just made it easier and I love him for that. I believe Hiccup is the type of leader we should all aspire to be, but that’s my opinion, I want to start a conversation about Hiccup as a leader and I want to hear what y’all have to say. Just reply to this comment and we can get started.

This movie has the best visuals (on a technical level) of the series. The hair, the clouds, the water, the subtle facial expressions of characters in the background, the SAND. THE SAND IS INCREDIBLE.

Hiccup's friend group : Hiccup : The underdog leader, that is sometimes dorky, but a great leader when he needs to be! Astrid : The strong female figure in everyone's life. The one who's may be your crush. The one *NO ONE WANTS TO MESS WITH!* She is clever, strong, brave, stubborn and the one who is *TERRIFYING* when she is mad. Fishlegs : The kind, humble, smart nerd of the group. The one who brings the brains and knowledge in the group. He is the close loyal friend. Ruffnut : The prankster, crazy funny one of the group. She is the one that will bring the chaos with the help of Barf. Tuffnut: The other prankster, chaotic and funny one to the group. Tuffnut is also very supportive (maybe slight tuff love) of his friends. The one who always helps bring the chaos. With help from his loyal friend Belch. Sountlout : The one who wants to be the leader, but obviously can't because if so we would all be doomed. Hes the guy that hit on your girlfriend only for that to fail and hit on your mom🤦‍♂️. He doesn't always think things through and isn't the brightest, also a slight rival. Though at the end of the day you still are friends and don't want the other to die in battle. This is just my opinion

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Two minor things: Astrid is also the person who you'd be most surprised to receive a hug from, yet would likely be the next person after Hiccup to do so, and Snotlout isn't trying to hit on Valka. He's trying to become the teacher's pet, though it is still attention seeking.
