I'm from a part of mainland China where Mandarin is the main language. The very first time I knew Dayo was from a Hong Kong TV series called "My盛Lady”. I've always been a fan of Hong Kong drama & movies and Cantonese, but he did leave a deep impression on my mind which triggered me to do a lot of googling about him and that's how I started to watch his 棟篤笑 which I knew later were his real masterpieces. At first, watching his stand-up comedies was just a way of learning Cantonese, but later it got me to know more about things happened in HK, some of which were of course never reported in the news here, and most importantly, his and many HK residents' thoughts on all those things and events. Anyway, great love to his work, and such a loss since his retirement.

Your English is so good, you have managed to precisely describe your feelings about him. Are you really a Chinese?

Stay safe, with love. If i could choose, I would be proud to call you my countryman. You sir are open minded, educated, full of compassion and fully self-aware. These are the true quality I have only managed to witness from fragments and pieces of history. Thank you for lighting up my world a little bit more.
