For those who don't get the ending, here's a little context. The basic concept of Taoism is the willingness to allow certain events to unfold naturally. That's why Zhang Ling was such an ideal candidate: he was the one who was willing to acknowledge the romance between a demon tree and a blind girl when a whole village could not, he was the only who didn't complain about the fact that he lost his spot in the competition to a lottery and he was the one who let Tie Lang pursue a relationship with a woman he had feelings for. The only real thing holding him back from becoming the Taoist Seeker is his unwillingness to let go of those he cares for the most, that's why everyone he cared about died, he needed to learn to come to terms with the loss in order to achieve his Tao. The Taoist Seeker was never meant to be a great warrior, the Taoist Seeker is just someone who is willing to live harmoniously with the chaotic nature of the universe. Which is also why Kun Lun could never become the Seeker, he may be a strong cultivator, but he couldn't acknowledge the changes in his life and strived to fight the universe for what he believed was rightly his. What everyone thought was a martial arts test is really a test to see if they are able to take the good with the bad.

This video has taught us to not let our desire overwhelming us and let go of the others around us staying with less emotions. The Greatest Series of all time. Finally, we all die one day. It's our choice to stay good and truly happily without having too much selfish desires

Why did everyone who were close to Zhang Ling died?? Tears started falling down during the cremation of Fei Fei and Tie Lang, where at this point, Zhang Ling don't have anyone else at his side. It felt like his hardwork are wasted. Nobody even bothered to at least congratulate or thank him for doing his duties.

To all viewers suffering heartbreaks from the sad end, go watch Magic Stars series. It has happy ending and the main characters end up with their love interest.

for me the most heartbreaking part was when yun qi died "no kunlun no yunqi " apart from the typical ending where almost eveyone dies the drama was great.

When feifei die, I have no reaction..😀 But when LuiLi die.. my tears are fallen!😭😭😭😭💔 I like LuiLi so much!❤❤❤🎈🌸💐

It hurts me so much when Tie Lang died! I love the friendship created by chang Ling and Tie Lang...this only proves that true love and friendship do really exist in this very chaotic world.hope everyone can create friendship just like tie lang and Chang Ling have created! Kudos to the directors and production staff! I really enjoyed this series!

Does anyone seen how Ling wipes the tear of Tie Lang when he is dying? What a lovely way of a friend to do that.

Finally, a decent movie with a storyline with actual meaning!

loved this drama from beginning to end! the personalities of each character really came out with their superb acting skills!! the ending made me sad. but feifei and Zhang Ling would never have been happily together if they both survived due to their best friends deaths 😭❤ thank you to the kind ppl who subbed it in english from beginning to end ❤👏

This story has many lessons learn to us as mankind, we should lived with no regrets in our self.

Although the ending isn’t what I expect from the beginning, I came up to a conclusion that maybe the soul of Taoism is to sacrifice the most important things in our life in order to accomplish the life mission as Taoism Seeker. However, as a huge fan of Chinese martial arts serial, I would prefer the ones with happy endings 😇. Anyway, thanks so much for the efforts in uploading the Eng Sub version. Looking forward to seeing another interesting shows. 🙏🤟

Luili left him something to be with him forever and Feifei left him memories who is actually his Love. Everything proves that he loves Feifei but the time Luili was leaving he was like he don't want to lose her.

I have enjoyed every episode, the characters were wonderful. But I fell in love with Muddle Worm! So darn cute.

I'm not sure anyone gets how great of a character is Han Shang. Everything he did was for his brothers and master. He didn't change suddenly, he was always like this, but at the beginning his character was shown as negative. He was "bad" for stealing the tokens, he was "bad" for blowing up the gate. But he did all that for his brothers. He tried his best to be better and stronger, because that's what they wanted from him. They wanted him to be the Taoism Seeker, but no one ever asked what he wanted. He took the hits for his little brother that he basically raised. He was protective of his little brother, because that's what his mother wanted, but also because he loved him this much. Everything he ever did was for them and maybe that's why losing Mei Kongyun hit him so hard. Because she was what HE wanted. He loved her so much he even went against his brother's wishes. He wasn't a bad guy, he wasn't a villain, he went after Qianqiu to help Ju Xiong, Bufan and Ying fight with Bai Qianji even though he didn't have to. He could've left. He was intelligent and good. To be honest when he started to show all these things I started to believe that he would be a good chief, but in the end it's not about that. He is the one who is capable of following the one he doesn't like if he finds his plan good, but also speak up when it turns out to not be the best. It's a good thing he is the new leader of Music Palace. He will be a good one. That I know for sure.

it would've been cute if it were possible for zhang ling to give half his core to liuli 🥺 then zhang ling can be with liuli (tao seeker falling in love with someone from the wolf kingdom wouldve made a cute ending. plus the second season could've been about their child who would be half human half fox). im sad, i love liuli sm.

GREAT movie! Wow. A few points and a few things which could make this even better. Some of the powerful characters die too easily... General Flower, Nine-tail wolf, Kun Lun, evil green sword guy, the 2 evil lords that just burned (why did Nine-tail let one go??)... and even Tie Lang and Fei Fei. All died in little to no combat after major build-up. Quite a letdown. (General Sand part was my favorite, great storyline and battles!) Zhang Ling never clarified to everyone why his dad killed the Five Mountain master's wife. That bothered me. His parents were such amazing heroes, but known as evil villians. General Blossom Tree ruined Zhang Ling's life by casting a spell on him to love Fei Fei. As we all know he should have been with Zhi Li!!! That super powerful General who always has his head down at No Tears bar... even Nine-tail is afraid of him. Why did he come out to help the good guys? Isn't he with the bad guys? If he's neutral then he shouldn't have helped either. They made him too invincible, and too little of his story, after such long buildup of his mystery. Zhang Ling did almost nothing with the gold armor. Just one strike!? That's it?? Kun Lun did nothing with his gold armor too. They needed a long fight scene of the 2 gold armors!! I thought Nine-tail gave one tail to build Kun Lun's armor, and it was mentioned if she loses a tail she will lose a lot of power. And it shows he lost it, but that part never came into play. When all those masters were trapped by her spell near the end, they should break through and battle Nine-tail! Missed opportunity. One cheap slice of her tail and that was it? Why did Kun Lun disappear after he died? Only the wolves disappear. Even if he was under spell he's not a wolf. I think this part was a mistake. They never showed them conquering the flying balls blindfolded. When Master Berserk died, they should have performed that in front of her prior to burning her, to show they mastered that skill. Why everyone dies by stabbing at the stomach?? That's not fatal. When Nine-tail and General Flower invaded Five Mountain and destroyed that place, some of the fighters were almost comical... looking like idiots, and swinging swords at nobody. That scene ruined what was so far a great movie. After many chapters of building up the suit, after all those battles, we finally find out who the Taoism Grandmaster is (of course we all knew anyway)... Zhang Ling finally wears it, but none of the others even act surprised? Or congratulate him? Everyone just stood around. Give the guy some recognition!! Aside from Berserk the other Five Mountain masters lost just about every battle they faced. Yet they should be some of the most powerful. They can't even defeat one Shadow General combined? Why didn't Nine-tail just cast her spell on everyone if it's that powerful? Why did they just let the evil black mask guy go? How can black mask guy control that dome to trap Nine-tail? Finally, if Er-Long God had come to visit Zhang Ling after he became the Tao Grandmaster at the end, that would have been awesome to wrap this up. If you hate Kun Lun (which means 'dick' in Cantonese) that only means he did a great job acting his character. Same for Zhi Li if you really liked her. Tie Lang is so cool in this movie, really sucked to see him die. But he's a bit confusing near the end. Why did he kill the village? He doesn't want war, then he does, then he doesn't, does, doesn't... and Fei Fei I don't really care for. Love that little bug. Otherwise, one of the best series I've ever watched! (Give a THUMBS UP if you read all this!)

One of the greatest series in my opinion. The idea of Dao is overwhelming indeed. I thought ending would be different, however it just was unexpected after all these sudden events and too much prolonged love story lines. There are also a couple of mishaps in animation and props, but they are minor. As far as I can see, ending isn`t sad. Guys, who think otherwise: "The world is unbiased and treats everything the same. The cycle of the natural law is very cruel. As all rivers end in the sea, all things tend in one direction.... But the end of life is death, the end of death is life. This is how the natural law works." - said by Qi Ye from 44 episode. Outstanding series, really. Master Berserk even cites from Tao De Ching. The context and idea so interesting, yet so profound. It isn`t that can be understood easily. Pure, fascinating, ironic on one hand and on other hard to comprehend, heavy with deep meaning. Worth a shot! Good series^^

个人观点，玄门大师是继仙剑奇侠传一和三后最好看的仙侠剧，真的很棒又好看，故事动人，有笑点，有泪点，不会闷，不管师徒之情，爱人之情，兄弟之情，都好让人感动，结尾有点马虎👍👍不过值得大力推荐👍👍
